Merge

[edit]

I propose a merger of Associated Students of the University of Washington into this article. The Associated Students of the University of Washington article suffers from WP:Original Research and is generally fails WP:Notability.--RedShiftPA (talk) 00:42, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The list of past officers, particularly of historic note should be kept at the very least. Merging this into a list of registered student organizations, which is an entirely different entity according to the University of Washington's policies as well as state law is misleading and could misinform. While I may not agree with the merger, the past officers are not notable unless they've done something outside of the organization to establish themselves as such. GreenJoe 19:25, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nothing on this page is encyclopedic, so it should be deleted and ASUW should stand by itself. Barring that, the information on this page should be sorted and pruned as much as possible then merged into ASUW, since it controls all these organizations. ASUW does not control registered student organisations. Many of the organisations on this list have nothing to do with ASUW. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.18.238.95 (talk) 11:34, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree with the above comment. ASUW does not "control" other UW student organizations at all. ASUW us just another student organization, albeit a very powerful one. ASUW should be put into a "Student Government" subsection of the "Student Organizations" page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.81.78.179 (talk) 07:55, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
