E.O. Wilson
[edit]"I don't think that E. O. Wilson's name should be on the list of scientists from the University of Tennessee. His wikipedia page does not mention Tennessee and states that he received his undergraduate from the university of Alabama and his Doctorate from Harvard. I do not have a copy of his autobiography handy but believe that he has taught at harvard throughout his career. That said, Wilson's noted student Dan Simberloff is faculty at UTK."
The above was posted on the WikiProject Tennessee members page by anonymous editor 68.238.134.253. A quick websearch shows that Wilson did brief graduate work at U.T., but I'm not sure if that's notable enough for inclusion. Bms4880 (talk) 13:30, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
Separate alumni from faculty
[edit]Unlike most university people lists, this one doesn't distinguish between alumni and faculty, and the entries don't indicate what each person's affiliation was. The affiliations need to be documented and the types of associations need to be separated. --Orlady (talk) 21:13, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
