Don Frye has 10 bouts and 9 UFC wins in 1996. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:B859:2E20:854F:DB69:B1E4:79A9 (talk) 00:46, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
Most PPV main events
[edit]Not every UFC card with a number was a PPV. UFC 239 obviously was, but back in the day, some were not. Has that been checked? And is there a list of every UFC PPV ever? Wikipedia just puts everything in one list.WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 16:05, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
Catchweight
[edit]Can you please stop counting every fight a fighter has ever had in the UFC as a specific weight class bout? Sometimes the fights were catchweight and should therefore not be counted as "Bantamweight" or whatever. Had to undo a lot of edits by you guys.WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 20:19, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
Highest finishes per win percentage
[edit]Royce Gracie tops this list with 100% finish to win ratio. However I believe that he should not be included in this list, since in the early days that he competed in the UFC (UFC 1-5), there were no judges. The only way to win was to finish. By definition, everyone that competed in those days had 100% finish to win ratio. It sort of defeats the purpose. The only reason he's the only one on this list is because he's the only one that made it to at least 10 fights. I suggest removing him.
- Francis Ngannou has 10 UFC wins, all finishes. 9 by KO/TKO and 1 by submission. He has not yet been added to the “Highest Finishes per win percentage” section. Nobody Touches Jordan (talk) 01:56, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Ranking people
[edit]Why are we ranking the numbers, not the fighters? If two people are 1st, then the next person is actually 3rd, not 2nd. I looked at other sports on Wikipedia and they got it right. Just an example of proper counting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_boxing_championship_records_and_statistics#Most_opponents_beaten_in_title_fights
Why don't we do the same? Does it make sense to rank the numbers instead of the fighters? Or do people here not understand basic math?WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 18:43, 14 December 2019 (UTC)
Comments
[edit]- Agreed. I keep fixing the indices but my edits keep getting reverted.--Deancarmeli (talk) 13:59, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Same. I gave up editing it, but it still bothers me. But sadly I don't think the people in charge understand the issue.WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 17:46, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Nobody ranking it weirdly wants to comment on this? Are you that sure that your counting makes sense that you don't even bother engaging with us who disagree?WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 21:50, 2 January 2020 (UTC)
- I took care of the table indices and have noticed Cdneh95 to stop his edit war.

Alignments
[edit]I think that fighter and weight class names should be aligned to the left, nor to center as in some of the lists on this page.
Currently, there isn't a uniform format for the lists and it makes the page look bad, in my opinion.
Names, weight classes, locations, etc. should be aligned left, while the records themselves should stay aligned to the center.--Deancarmeli (talk) 14:07, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
- Agreed. I think this list needs some massive revising done to it. It's incredibly long and does not have near the amount of references that it should. I'm willing to put in the legwork to organize it and find sources so we can remove the tag, but would want/need some guidance on how to shorten the list and restructure it. Anyone want to give me some advice? — Miss Sarita 04:51, 22 January 2020 (UTC)

How would you like the lists shorten?
Deancarmeli (talk) 13:56, 2 April 2020 (UTC)- @Miss Sarita: I've started to reorganize the list (see Fighting and Winning).
In this new format, each section is roughly half as long as it is now while displaying the same amount of data, and the sub-sections will be easier to find.
Moreover, now an edit to a sub-section could be found from the "history" page, what is currently basically imposdible.
You're welcome to join. Deancarmeli (talk) 11:19, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

Changing the format of Fighter's list of weight class
[edit]I would like to change the format from a list, with each weight class in it's own line, to an abbreviated form that enables each fighter to show on a single line.
Current Format:
Fighter Division Reigns 1. Randy Couture Heavyweight
Light Heavyweight6 (5 undisputed, 1 interim) 2. Georges St-Pierre Middleweight
Welterweight4 (3 undisputed, 1 interim) 3. Jon Jones Light Heavyweight 3 (2 undisputed, 1 interim) Conor McGregor Lightweight
FeatherweightJose Aldo Featherweight
Suggested Format:
Fighter Division Reigns 1. Randy Couture HW \ LHW 6 (5 undisputed, 1 interim) 2. Georges St-Pierre MW \ WW 4 (3 undisputed, 1 interim) 3. Jon Jones LHW 3 (2 undisputed, 1 interim) Conor McGregor LW \ FW Jose Aldo FW
Any objections?

- I object. Not everyone will know what each abbreviation stands for. Just spell out the division so it's easier to read and comprehend. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Picograms (talk • contribs) 21:40, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Picograms: Before this edit, the lists were much longer and harder to read. each fighter could take even four rows, and that is too much in my opinion. besides, each 'unclear' abbreviation is linked to the class's page.
currently, after a lot of work, there is a standard for the whole page. is there anyone who will support this objection? Deancarmeli (talk) 21:56, 12 May 2020 (UTC)- I agree that the single-line format, using the abbreviations, is the way to go. Anyone can click the links of the abbreviations if they're confused; it's a non-issue for me. JimKaatFan (talk) 22:58, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- I support the more compact and readable format. Maproom (talk) 14:12, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

Proposal: Removal of All unreferenced sections.
[edit]Examples of completely unreferenced sections are: Decisions, Submission attempts & Attendances (for order of records, not just values). I suggest that we remove these sections if not referenced within, say, 30 days.Deancarmeli (talk) 11:28, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
Edit: @Picograms:, @TeepSlight:, @Gsfelipe94:, @HeinzMaster:, @João Fernandes Santos:, @Cassiopeia:, @RomaanFaisal: I would like to get your input on the matter. Some editor did put some work in to these sections, but they are utterly unreliable. Deancarmeli (talk) 11:36, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
Undoing of transclusion
[edit]@Picograms: I'm addressing you following WP:BRD: To follow BRD specifically, instead of one of the many alternatives, you must not restore your bold edit, make a different edit to this part of the page, or engage in back-and-forth reverting. Talk to that one person until the two of you have reached an agreement.
. Why did you do this revert? My edit used Transclusion to prevent code duplication of an identical table shown on 2 articles. Is there a reason why you think this table should be duplicated, instead of transcluded from one to the other? CLalgo (talk) 14:31, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
Should stats reflect after Unified MMA Rules - Royce Gracie inclusion
[edit]On http://statleaders.ufc.com/?fighter_status=0, the official UFC Stats page, it states "Records reflect all UFC fights from UFC 28 to the present (UFC 28 was the first event to use the Unified Rules of MMA)." - However, recently, Royce Gracie was put onto the most submissions list even though he is not listed on the official stats page. Should this UFC records be consistent with the official stats page that reflects UFC fights from UFC 28 and on, or should it include all UFC events prior to UFC 28, where fighters fought multiple times in one night. Vitor Belfort is included on the records page here but it does not show up on the official stats page of UFC because a number of his wins and finishes came before UFC 28. Thoughts? Headers no longer collapse
[edit]The revision by user Edardfox on 21:42, 4 March 2023 caused a formatting problem and now the headers do not collapse. This causes a huge pain when having to scroll a long way down the page Oisinvg (talk) 10:59, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Oisinvg: I've looked at Edardfox's edits from 22:46, 4 March 2023 to 00:21, 5 March 2023 ([1]) and saw nothing but the creation of the unreferenced Pound-for-pound section. Could you please be more specific? Examples will be helpful. CLalgo (talk) 11:26, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

Most Submissions in Title bouts
[edit]the page has Jon Jones and Demetrious Johnson tied with 4, but this is wrong, Jon has four against Lyoto, Rampage, Belfort and Gane, DJ has five against Reis, Ray Borg, Moraga, Cariaso and Horiguchi — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.0.111.21 (talk) 22:35, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
