West Virginia Has No Official Team Sport

[edit]

As of April 2006, the State of West Virginia has no legislatively established team sport, so the listing of baseball is spurius and should be deleted. John Trapp 11:07, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed all unsourced assertions. As sources are found, feel free to add them back. Isopropyl 20:14, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Montana info

[edit]

Removed random text from top of page. Turned out it was the Montana's info with some formatting problems; however, I couldn't find a source for it anywhere, including on the state government's official list of state symbols, so I removed it. LordTorgamus 02:13, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sport or Not?

[edit]

I found some possible "sports" that aren't called sports in the legislature, so I wasn't sure if they should be added.

Idaho Sport reference is commercial entity, not state government

[edit]

Idaho has "Potato throwing" indicated as the official state sport, and the reference for it suggests that it comes from idaho.gov. However the actual link is to bigidahopotato.com, to a page where the word "throwing" does not even appear. This website is a commercial mouthpiece for the Idaho Potato Commission, and not a government entity. BarryTice 21:55, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
