The purpose of this article

The purpose of this article is for two reasons:

1) to have the various US state archives and libraries organized in a neat table 2) so that Wikipedia editors who are interested in adding more articles for state libraries and archives know which states need articles for their libraries and/or archives and which ones do not.

I hope to link this article to more pages, lists, templates, etc. that deal with US state issues and issues regarding libraries and archives in the United States
