Should Huilen and Nahuel be added? Huilen is a full vampire, and Huilen is like renesmee, who is included. I'm not sure where to put them though. They live in the Amazon, but not in the same coven as Zafrina and co. Ideas? 68.237.69.244 (talk) 05:43, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
- Could we also add Max, if not with a whole section, at least mentioned with J Jenks. I think so because J Jenks is in it but he isn't at the moment...
shouldnt u have said "Nahuel is like Renesmee" not "Huilen is like renezmee"? Nahuel is mentioned by the way — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sazza21 (talk • contribs) 21:45, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Angela Weber
I read the Midnight Sun draft. In it it says that Edward causes Angela Weber and Ben Cheney to start going out. Shouldn't it be mentioned? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.214.197.101 (talk) 17:33, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Firstly, please sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) :). Secondly, I'm not sure it's important, and I'm hesitant to use that source. Can someone else comment in here? IceUnshattered [ t ] 17:42, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I never read the draft, but I had heard elsewhere that Edward tells Ben to ask Angela out. I think it was payment to Angela for (apparently) being the only nice person to Bella who wasn't a guy. I know outtakes aren't used here, because they never became officially canon and it was never stated whether they truly took place in the series, but Midnight Sun is a bit different...WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 20:45, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ehhh...I don't know exactly how to cite a draft, anyways. I would leave it for now. -grins stupidly- IceUnshattered [ t ] 22:53, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have not read the Midnight Sun draft either, and would rather we not use material from it in these articles for now. It just doesn't seem right- it's an unfinished draft of a book that might never be published. Even though Meyer posted it on her own website, that was unplanned and really only in reaction to the leak. I don't think it can be considered canon and therefore worthy of being a source. Hey geniuses! You can read the Midnight Sun draft right here on Wikipedia. Just type in the little Wikipedia search bar: Midnight Sun (novel) and you can read the entire 12 chapters of the draft. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sazza21 (talk • contribs) 21:37, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
WRONG!
Quil didn't imprint on Kim. Quil imprinted on Claire. Jared imprinted on Kim.
Not all vampires have special abilities. The article says that ALL vampires have supernatural abilities. Alice can see the future, Aro can read your mind if he has physical contact with you. Carlile does not have a special ability and neither does Rosalie, or Esme, of Emmett. FIX IT!!!!!!
- Please be WP:CIVIL, and also sign your posts with four tildes which look like . It is stated that Carlisle theorizes that all human bring their talents to vampire form where they are enhanced. Not all "enhanced" talents appear to be "supernatural". BTW, do you think that a human could kill a grizzly w/ bare hands? IceUnshattered [ t ] 16:25, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
WHAT? A human kill a grizzly with bare hands? Um... why do you ask? I'm not so sure about that. Don't think so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.41.193.39 (talk) 16:35, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- See, I consider that a *special (or supernatural) ability*. IceUnshattered [ t ] 16:38, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, maybe. But it is still wrong to say that ALL vampires have special or supernatural abilities, I mean maybe that's just because I don't consider it special or supernatural if EVERY vampire can do it. But I see your point. 68.41.193.39 (talk) 16:41, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Whatever.
- I consider that every vampire has some ability beyond the potential of a normal human (consider the speed, strength, that even younger vampires possess). Supernatural/special abilities are, to me, something that if demonstrated by the average human adult, would be considered 'out of this world' and would render that person an outcast/freak show. Or something like that. IceUnshattered [ t ] 16:45, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, if they were HUMAN that speed and strength would be out of this world, I agree. But they are not human. The speed and stregnth are normal for vampires, especially young ones. I think that for VAMPIRES the only Cullens that really have special abilities are Jasper, Alice, and Edward- Carlile can't read minds or see the future or minipulate peoples' moods. Also, I guess Bella has a special ability, but I have a hard time considering her one of the Cullens. Anyway, SPECIAL means beyond the norm, so when amazing speed and stregnth ARE the norm, they are not special abilities. Just my opinion, you are fully entitled to your own.68.41.193.39 (talk) 17:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- So you're saying that you only refer to supernatural abilities as abilities that are not part of the "vampire norm", correct? IceUnshattered [ t ] 17:38, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
The article very clearly states that all vampires have superhuman strength ("supernatural" would work as well), not that certain vampires have strength greater than other vampires. It also says plainly that not all vampires have a special ability. To quote directly from the article, "Some vampires have no special abilities...". I see no problem here. Andrea (talk) 19:20, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
In the Werewolves content it has been stated that the Werewolves possess immunity to vampire bites but in the Breaking Dawn book Jacob tells Bella that the vampire venom is poisonous to the Werewolf and it can kill them as well. I ask that Wikipedia responds to this error in detail as soon as possible. Thank you. Eva7773 (talk) 20:19, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Rosalie Hale Information
Some additions could be made to the section on Rosalie Hale. These mostly refer to her evolving relationship with Bella throughout the series.
- -In New Moon, Rosalie makes an appearance near the end of the novel. When Bella and the Cullens have successfully leave the Volturi and are journeying home, Rosalie apologizes profusely to Bella for her mistake (telling Edward that Bella had committed suicide) and demonstrates her first act of kindness toward Bella. Later, Rosalie also expresses that she would not want Bella to become a vampire, not because Rosalie doesn't want Bella for a sister, but because she feels humanity is the better option.
- -Throughout Eclipse, Rosalie and Bella seem to have a delicate peace between them, though Rosalie strongly believes Bella is making a foolish choice in her decision to become a vampire.
- -By the end of Breaking Dawn, Bella and Rosalie finally understand each other, particularly through their protection of Bella's unborn child. Bella reflects that when she decided to keep her child, she had finally made the same decision that Rosalie would have in the situation. Rosalie and Bella also develop a shared maternal love for the young Renesmée. Major characters
I don't think Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie, Alice, and Jasper should be listed as major characters. At least in my opinion, they are fairly minor characters. 66.222.226.225 (talk) 01:45, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Bella Swan

- She was 18. They celebrated her 19th birthday a few days after she had been changed in Breaking Dawn. Andrea (talk) 17:21, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't get why everyone is being so specific. Three days before your 19th birthday, you are closer to 19 than to 18. (If someone commits a crime, is he excused as a minor just because he committed it 3 days before he turned 18? Or is he given full punishment, seeing as three days does not make a freaking difference?) Why can't you guys write Bella's age as 19, or just omit it completely from the page? This whole thing is ridiculous, and there are certain people who are being irrationally stubborn about this. (Amalik914 (talk) 22:10, 7 August 2010 (UTC))
She was 18, she gets mad when Alice and Edward want to celebrate her 19th birthday 'cos she knows she stopped aging 3 days earlier. It IS important because why should we intentionally lie or just not mention her age when everyone elses IS mentioned? Sazza21 (talk) 16:56, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Wolf Aging
Is it explicitly mentioned in the books that the shapeshifters (a.k.a "werewolves") do not age as long as they phase frequently ? I'm pretty sure that has never been mentioned in the movies. BTW, I'm curious: if the wolves do not age and are therefore virtually "immortal" (pretty much like the vampires), why aren't there any 100-year-old or so wolves around in Jacob's tribe ? 201.81.161.207 (talk) 20:24, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- I think it is mentioned in "Eclipse" that one of Jacob's ancestors lived the "life of three adult men", or something similar to that. 161.24.19.112 (talk) 13:42, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
- I believe the "ancestor" you mentioned above is Taha AKi (sp?), who killed the "cold woman" in the Quileute story. I also recall that, when Jacob tells Bella that Quil had imprinted on Emily's niece (who was just a little child), he mentions that Quil "won't get any older", so he can simply wait a few decades until the girl is a grown-up. 200.168.20.137 (talk) 11:15, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
- there are no one hundred year old werewolves because first of all there hasn't been any vampires and second of all, after there imprint dies who would want to live? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.234.137.86 (talk) 21:27, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Jacob Black and Renesmee as a couple
There has been some speculation, that since Renesmee is a half-breed and since Jacobs clan has the exact same chromosones as half-breeds and that Jacob has imprinted Renesmee, that these two will get together in a future episode. Renesmee stops aging at 17 years old and she is rapidly growing. I think I read it will take 7 years for her to get to seventeen years old. With Jacob out to protect her and constantly hanging around her, his genes will be active and he will not age.
Maybe Jacob and Renesmee will have a relationship together and have children? Is it worth mentioning? He involuntarily imprinted her, which is unusual. Conficutus (talk) 11:08, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- BTW, if wolves have 24 pairs of chromosomes and vampires have 25, how can they have children with humans, who belong to a different species ? As I understand it, Jacob's mother was human, wasn't she ? 187.34.77.175 (talk) 11:18, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- A half breed and a werewolf can have children together since she has all the human characteristics (see genetics [[1]]). That would make some interesting baby. Phasing, Regeneration, Telepathy, Physical enhancements, Increased durability, longevity, free running, Claws and teeth, Immune to vampire bites etc all of the things which werewolves have AND a special ability of vampire too. Jacob and Renesmee are type of half breeds, both have human mothers. No wonder the Valtri wanted Renesmee dead, Conficutus (talk) 11:30, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Please could you add under the Renesmee Cullen section mention that there has been some speculation whether Jacob Black and Renesmee Cullen will get together, since both are type of half-breeds with human mothers and both have the exact same Chromosones (see genetics [[2]] as well as an imprint, symbolizing a special bond and strong relationship. Since Jacob could have children with Renesmee Cullen I think it should be mentioned in the article. Conficutus (talk) 12:53, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Comparing the Vampire section to the Werewolf one
I've written a section for werewolves here in the article. At the moment, the werewolf section has approximately 4 lines, wheras compared to the vampire section, clearly needs an expansion. Here I have written a draft. Please tell me what you think: [Werewolves]
According to the Twilight, the Quileute tribe legends holds that chiefs could leave their bodies and wander as spirits, communicate with nature, command nature (weather, trees, insects, animals) and hear each other's thoughts, however, besides the latter many of these techniques appear to have been forgotten. In Twilight, members of this tribe can still phase in and out of their shape-shifting forms, transforming independently of the lunar cycles. Members are able to regenerate, talk to one another telepathically, and possess superhuman strength, speed and stamina with the ability to cover 1.67 miles in just 1 minute, outrunning vampires. Werewolves skins are durable and their regenerative abilities allow them to heal within seconds. As long as they phase, they do not age. Their body temperature is around 110° degrees which Bella as a vampire in Breaking Dawn, describes like "touching an open fire". Jacob is Alpha male thus possesses the unique ability to command the clan telepathically and forcibly, regardless of individual resistance. They possess immunity to vampire bites and some vampire special abilities - such as Alice's premonitions. In human form shape-shifters can use the style of free running to get to hard to reach places. they really should not be together hint hint
In the Twilight universe, werewolves claws and teeth can tear through the “marble hard skin” of a vampire at ease. Each werewolf has a different look and different specific quality, whether size, speed, agility, stamina, durability or strength, Jacob being the strongest of the pack. All shapeshifters senses are very sharp (ophthalmoception, audioception, olfacoception, equilibrioception etc). Within the series, they can also imprint which channels all their affections towards a single person and most likely-to-be spouse. A shapeshifter in human form retains many enchanced abilities and in human form can run at a speed of 75 miles per hour. The Quileute tribes shapeshifting werewolves are typically dark haired, dark skinned, dark eyed in the series and prefer to eat animal meat. Genetically, Carlisle discovers that they have 24 pairs of chromosomes, the same as vampire hybrids like Renesmee sparking speculation on Jacob and Renesmee having children, both of whom had human maternal parents [1]. At the end of the fourth book, it is revealed that they are indeed shape-shifters. Aro claims shape-shifters can take other mega animal forms and Edward says that Caius is terrified of true werewolves because of an encounter with one centuries ago, leaving him almost obliterated. These true werewolves are called the "Children of the Moon" and these involuntarily phase in the full moon. Not much is revealed in the series, however they are supposed to be ferocious, loners and roam at night. Further, they can bite others turning them in to werewolves. Like vampires, a bitten human will stay the same age, locked in time. The only physical characteristic mentioned is that their eyes turn a bright yellow in the light of the moon. In Breaking Dawn the distinction is briefly explained. Conficutus (talk) 12:56, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

I would like to replace the current paragraph under the werewolf section with this one. I think this one is far better for non-twilight fans to understand what shapeshifting werewolves are, their history and what they can do, and would be more comparable and balanced to the vampire section as currently, the werewolf section is very short and lacks description. As a matter of fact, the werewolf section currently only has two sentences describing what they do. There is no history whatsoever. Therefore, please change:
"At the end of Breaking Dawn, a distinction is made in the Twilight universe between the "true werewolves" who transform according to the lunar cycle, and the giant Quileute tribal wolves who can phase at will and retain their mental faculties. Instead, the latter are referred to as shape-shifting humans who assume wolf form. As long as they regularly phase into wolves, they never age. They heal quickly, have enhanced physical speed, size, and strength, and can communicate telepathically with one another while in their wolf forms."

In the area for "Renesmee Carlie Cullen", it doesn't mention that it is not in fact pronounced the way it is spelled (Re-nez-mee) when it is pronounced an entirely different way (Ruh-nez-may) and in the area for "Carlisle Cullen" when it mentions how and when he changed "Rosalie Hale" into a vampire, it spells fiancee with only one 'e' when it actually has two. (Ps. I don't know how to get the 'e' with that little line over it on my keyboard so I can't add it with the word 'fiancee'. The line goes over the first 'e'.) Actually, the members are Tanya, Kate, Carmen, Eleazar, and it's assumed that Garrett joins at the end of Breaking Dawn. Sasha and Vasili died many years before even Carlisle was born and Irina dies toward the end of Breaking Dawn, so they technically do not belong to the coven anymore. Also, may I ask what the point of that post was? The Denali Clan is in the article, and I'm quite sure all members and former members are mentioned. 75.223.8.95 (talk) 02:39, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

I was under the impression that Sasha was the little boy. Was it ever clarified and I just missed it or are we assuming? (Sasha is/was a fairly common boy's name). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.108.218.129 (talk) 20:49, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
It mentions them at the end of Breaking Dawn on the last few pages in the coven list. It doesn't mention who they are but I haven't read the New Moon book yet so it might actually mention who they are there. If not, I have no idea where people have found out who the heck they are. I've read New Moon. How did anyone find out who they are??? Sasha and Vasilii are never mentioned in any of the books or movies. Did someone ask Stephanie Meyer??? Or did someone just guess??? Sazza21 (talk) 02:42, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

The Above Edit Request - Please Read
In case they are any criticisms about WP:OR, I have given examples from the series to substanciate claims:
- Transformation – They are many different tribes. Jacob and his clan are of the Quilette tribe and as a result can change in to a werewolf at will, completely independent of the lunar cycles. In Eclipse it is revealed that Jacob is able to phase in mid-jump and phase whenever it suits him.
- Regeneration - He has a powerful regenerative healing factor. This allows his body to heal at an abnormal rate, faster than any human body can. Small cuts and minor injuries heal within seconds while larger, more damaging injuries, such as broken bones and blood loss, seem to heal within minutes.
- Telepathy - Only works within the pack, and when in wolf form. They can speak with each other telepathically and hear each other's thoughts. Though this is more than useful while hunting and tracking, there is no privacy left in the pack because of this ability. After Jacob formed a pack of his own, he is able to communicate those within his pack and Sam, the Alpha of his previous wolf pack, if he chooses to and can select the thoughts that he wants to share.
- Extreme strength and speed - Has superior power both in wolf and human form. This has been displayed numerous times, as how Jacob was able to carry Bella 9 miles through a thick forest with ease, taking less than 10 minutes. In wolf form, they are also exceptionally fast, running at a top speed of over 100 miles per hour. They can outrun vampires, as was the case with vampire Laurent however, they tend not to wander outside their forests in werewolf form. In human form they seem to have an average speed of about 75 miles per hour and can lift an average of 800 lbs. Jacob is supposed to be the strongest in the pack.
- Increased durability - Werewolves have a high durability rate, most famously seen when Bella struck Jacob in the jaw with all of her strength, and ended up breaking her hand while Jacob, who wasn't even remotely hurt, couldn't tell that she was trying to hurt him until she started screaming.
- Longevity - They cannot start aging until a solid period of time without phasing goes by. It is unknown the exact length of time, only it would be very difficult because phasing is instinctual. As long as they phase regurlarly, they can stay the same age.
- Alpha voice - As the Alpha of his pack, the wolf can force his followers to obey his orders whether they refuse or not. Jacob never uses his voice to force his teammates, though he has the power and it is even stronger than Sam's voice.
- Free running – Even in human form, Jacob and his pack, have the ability to jump off objects around them and use their surroundings to get to places. This was demonstrated in Eclipse when he sneaked in and out of Bella’s house by jumping from two parallel ledges in to and out of the bedroom window.
- Claws and teeth – Werewolves can easily tear the “marble hard skin” of a vampire and to kill them. In Eclipse, a vampire, Laurent, has his head decapitated in a matter of seconds.
- Immunity - They are immune to the bites of vampires since the venom of a bite only affects humans.
- Imprint – Once they begin phasing, a werewolf may "imprint"—a method of finding one's soulmate—on someone, and will act as whatever the imprintee needs, whether it be a protector, a lover, or an older sibling. Jacob imprints on Edward and Bella's daughter Renesmee in Breaking Dawn.
- Superior senses - Both in human and werewolf form, eye sight, smell and hearing are extremely sharp. In Breaking Dawn, Jacob was able to hear Quil playing with Claire at First Beach from his bedroom.
- Genetics - While treating Jacob in Eclipse, Carlisle takes a blood sample and runs some tests on it. He discovers that they have 24 pairs of chromosomes, one more than a human and the same number as vampire hybrids. Each member of this clan can pass their genes on through reproduction.
I hope that helps: Conficutus (talk) 20:23, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
I also think it might be worth mentioning some Laws of this tribe, like the law in the Quileute tribe that whoever becomes imprinted by a member of the pack, the rest of the wolves will not be allowed to harm them. This law is to prevent unnecessary battle as the shapeshifter will not forgive whoever harmed his soul-mate. Conficutus (talk) 07:33, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- Quick addendum to the Strength and Speed section; based on the portrayals in the movies, the wolves are indicated as "faster than the vampires" (New Moon; after Jacob has phased to protect Bella, and his Pack Brothers have taken her to Sam's home). Since the vampires can accelerate at a rate faster than the human eye can follow (approximately 320mph), the wolves top speed (in Canine form) has to be in excess of of that speed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Seeker124 (talk • contribs) 22:42, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Harry Clearwater
It mentions in Harry's section that he dies of a heart attack in New Moon before saying he helps keep Charlie occupied in Eclipse. Anyone else noticed it pretty much says he died then is suddenly okay in the next book/ movie?? That doesn't make much sense. I'm going to read the book again soon to double check that it really does say it's Harry and not someone else that helps Billy Black distract Charlie. Sazza21 (talk) 17:16, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
Edit request on 20 May 2012 - Addition of "Huilen" the Aunt of "Nahuel". and the actress playing her in TSBD: Pt 2

Huilen is a South American vampire and the older sister of Pire. She was turned by her nephew Nahuel who is a half-human, half-vampire. Huilen and Nahuel came to Forks with Alice Cullen and Jasper Hale to witness against the Volturi that Renesmee, another half-human, half-vampire hybrid, wasn't a threat to the vampires' secret world. After the Volturi left, she stayed behind with her nephew during celebration and was one of the last to leave. Bella assumed that she and Nahuel would have gone with the Amazon Coven, but they departed earlier. [3]
In the film The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn: Part 2, Huilen is portrayed by actress Marisa Quinn .

Twilight Character Jasper Hale reading Keith Richards memoir in the movie Breaking Dawn Part 2
An interesting fact for the wikipedia section on Twilight character Jasper Hale. In the movie Breaking Dawn Part 2, the book that Jasper Hale is reading when Alice has the vision of the Volturi and drops the vase is the autobiography "Life". It is a memoir by The Rolling stones guitarist Keith Richards, with assistance from journalist James Fox. In an interview on [4] the actor Jackson Rathbone (who plays Jasper Hale) responds to a question about controlling what documentary footage of his band on tour gets released by saying, "I'm going to try to stay out of it as much as possible. Honestly, I live my life in a way that I know that even if someone were to follow me with a camera, I wouldn't be disappointed. I wouldn't have my mother worry about because, you know, I'm not Keith Richards. As cool as he is, I'm not Keith Richards. I'm not worried about something like that coming out and harming our reputation. I act in the press the way I act in my personal life. I'm a southener; I'm like an old-fashioned guy." It's a strange comment from a man who had a media scandal around his arrest for the video taped re-enactment of an MTV Jackass stunt in which he and some friends set another friend on fire. Shapeshifters
Technically they are not lycanthropes/werewolves; they are shamanic shapeshifters/skinwalkers. Werewolves were described as being savage and had no control over their forms during the night, while the Quileute people have full control over their forms. Its been suggested that they could theoretically assume an eagle or a bear form as easily. --72.67.93.68 (talk) 09:29, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
