Comics?

[edit]

Should we include a section listing the paperback versions of the comics (eg The Simpsons Comics Royale, The Simpsons Comics Beach Blanket Bongo etc). We could also include what issues are in each (eg The Simpsons Comics A-Go-Go #32, #33, #34, #35)

  • This article says that several comic series with The Simpsons have been published by Bongo. The Simpsons article, however, specifically says 9 have been published - is this correct?

It would be good to see some more information on the comics. - 121.208.90.191 (talk) 06:49, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Simpsons DVDs.jpg

[edit]

Image:Simpsons DVDs.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The definition of a publication

[edit]

If we read the Publication article we find that the definition is: "Among publications are books, and periodicals, the latter including magazines, scholarly journals, and newspapers.". Then why does this list include DVDs, CDs, video games, pinball machines, poster and action figures? I would say that we should limit this list to books, comics, and magazines and then find some room for the things not already covered elsewhere some other place. --Maitch (talk) 11:42, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Of course we could also rename it to List of The Simpsons merchandise. --Maitch (talk) 12:36, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that we should limit this to publications only. A lot of these lists (including media) seem to have been expanded beyond their original definition, and we already have a page for video games, DVDs, CDs and even action figures. -- Scorpion0422 15:46, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
