Scope

[edit]

Should the article scope be broadened to include desserts and snacks? They're all referred to as khanom, and the distinction isn't clear. --Paul_012 (talk) 12:53, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Most often, fresh fruit is served as a dessert in Thailand. This list contains sweet snacks that are often eaten on their own as, indeed, a sweet snack. They are only occasionally eaten as dessert. - Takeaway (talk) 15:55, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense. I have boldly moved the page to the title "List of Thai khanom". Please help to expand the article if interested. North America1000 20:43, 18 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. But this title feels rather awkward. I'd prefer List of Thai desserts and snacks or something similar in accordance with WP:USEENGLISH. --Paul_012 (talk) 00:35, 19 November 2016 (UTC) Paul_012 (talk) 00:35, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps limited to List of Thai desserts and sweet snacks to distinguish the entries from the multitude of Thai starters and savoury snacks. - Takeaway (talk) 16:00, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
