Copyright question
[edit]Is this article now OK with regards to copyright? A bot had marked it for potential copyright violation. I took the table from the UNSD website in Excel file format. It would probably be good if we had the list also in another document that is explicitly marked as CC-BY SA or similar. Does anyone have experience with this? - An alternative source for the targets (if the UN resolution is regarded as not in public domain) would be this website which copyright information says CC-BY SA 3.0. However, that website does not include a list for the indicators. EMsmile (talk) 12:34, 14 August 2020 (UTC)
- A colleague sent me this information: "The document that put the masthead documents, like the resolution mentioned, in the public domain (on an experimental basis) is ST/AI/189/Add.9/Rev.2, see paragraph 2(b). The document that indefinitely extended the experiment is ST/AI/189/Add.9/Rev.2/Add.2." This somewhat matches the content that is available here. EMsmile (talk) 02:22, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
Can't find one of the footnotes from the table
[edit]I've just fixed up the footnotes so that they are linked. But there is one remaining footnote for which I can't figure out where it belongs. It's this one "2 The Gini Coefficient will be reported as a second series in the database, as it is a component of this indicator." Can anyone see a Note 2 somewhere (it would just be the figure 2 directly at the end of a word, not as superscript). You can also search the original Excel file which is provided on the website of UN Statistics Division (see link on article page). EMsmile (talk) 06:32, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
- EMsmile, target 10.3 uses the Gini coefficient for reporting so the footnote would appear to belong with indicator 10.3.1. BobKilcoyne (talk) 04:57, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi BobKilcoyne, this doesn't seem right because Indicator 10.3.1 is "10.3.1 Proportion of population reporting having personally felt discriminated against or harassed in the previous 12 months on the basis of a ground of discrimination prohibited under international human rights law" - ? Wikilinks
[edit]Hi,
Would it be ok if I added wikilinks to the articles listed onWikipedia:Meetup/Online edit-a-thon SDGs September 2020/Tasks? I won't edit the test, just add it where there are already the words
CaroMdB (talk) 02:53, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, that's fine. Make sure you follow Guidance from Wikipedia: Wiki links. I'll make contact with you also in our Workspace for the SDG edit-a-thon. EMsmile (talk) 03:22, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
Numbering of targets
[edit]Why does the enumeration of many of these targets change from sub-numbers to letters, e.g. after 13.1 - 13.3, enumeration changes to 13.a, and after 14.1 - 14.7 it changes to 14.a? - BobKilcoyne (talk) 03:47, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- Hi BobKilcoyne, I had the same question a while back. I've added the information now in the article, by using the excerpt method from the article on SDGs. EMsmile (talk) 03:39, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, BobKilcoyne (talk) 04:27, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
