Original research
[edit]A question, are you compiling these records yourself, or have they been published somewhere? This is potentially skating around WP:OR. --Falcadore (talk) 01:31, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know what you're getting at but it should be obvious to you that I am not inventing anything on this page: it is unquestioned fact - how can it be anything else? If you look at List of A1 Grand Prix records (a page not created by me) you will see that all I am doing, quite innocently and legitimately, is putting the information known into a more interpretable format without adding anything inaccurate or which is requiring of lengthy discussion (and, by the way, without resorting to colour/bold and any of your other known pet peves). Thank you for your interest. Officially Mr X (talk) 20:04, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't say you'd invented it. That isn't what WP:OR is about. It was just intended as a friendly 'be careful'. What No original research is about is helping to keep Wikipedia's content free of agenda and ensuring all of its content has come from somewhere else. It could be that the A1 records to are skirting OR issues. Are you confident that these records have been sourced from somewhere independant of Wikipedia? --Falcadore (talk) 02:19, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- Wikipedia has too many rules. Just give people what they want! Officially Mr X (talk) 13:46, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- Doesn't work like that. Those rules exist to protect Wikipedia and its contributors. You are free to create your own website to 'the peoples' rules. --Falcadore (talk) 09:34, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Citations
[edit]@Officially Mr X: If you could, it be great if you could add some cites in to bulk up the citations. Because at the moment there are no references in the reflist section! And as you should know that does look bad!. Cheers Govvy (talk) 10:52, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
