Episodic spacing

I believe there needs to be more space allocated to the "Director" column on the second season table. Some editor(s) feel as if everything must remain oh so uniform and keep the column widths lined up proportionally forever. I, on the other hand, say we must make exceptions to this opinion when the previous season left so little room in one particular column, an action that will be cascaded down for the rest of the series. I'd like to gain consensus on the issue and widen up some space. What say you? LLArrow (talk) 08:01, 1 September 2016 (UTC)

When possible, episode tables have always (and possibly will always) be lined up. This falls under this case. If the content fits in the cell, then it's fine as is. If they have been credited on new lines, then add new lines there, else allow the content to simply flow as it's meant to. Some series have rows that are four-lines deep. If there is a problem with wrapping, one option is to add {{nowrap}} around the names to avoid wrapping in the middle of a name. Depends on space whether the other name will fit in the next line though, if it doesn't it will force the column to be wider. nyuszika7h (talk) 11:25, 1 September 2016 (UTC)

Though the writer column could be made less wide now that the first episode's story credits were further split into two lines, and that would give more space to the directors. nyuszika7h (talk) 11:26, 1 September 2016 (UTC)

Cast credits in article

Wondering why cast listing is not allowed on this page. In shows that have 10+ seasons they add credits, mind you that is on the individual season articles and not on the one that shows all 10+ seasons.

ie Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (season 1)

Is there a FAQ or something that says what is and is not allowed.

Please see Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Television#Episode_listing. This is a List of episodes page, not a season page and this info does not have a purpose on these types of articles. If Supergirl (season 1) existed (which should only exist if there is other notable components to it, per WP:GNG and laid out in MOS:TV) the listing you are looking for would be included. Maybe instead of saying "Hank encounters M'gann M'orzz, a female Green Martian." simply say "Hank encounters M'gann M'orzz, a female Martian." as at the end of the episode she reveals that she isn't a Green Martian. Swampy 2001:8003:2440:B000:B521:2B23:8285:DDA5 (talk) 09:20, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
