At WikiProject Cornwall we subscribe to the policies laid down by Wikipedia - particularly civility and consensus building. We are aware that the wording on Cornish entries can sometimes be a contentious topic, especially those concerning geography. You don't have to agree with everything but there is no excuse for rudeness and these things are best solved through consensus building and compromise. For more information see WP:CornwallGuideline.
These pages are not platforms for political discussion. Issues relating to Cornish politics should be restricted to those pages that directly deal with these issues (such as Constitutional status of Cornwall, Cornish nationalism, etc) and should not overflow into other articles.

I think it is necessary to remove the section 'Artists living in or near St Ives' as this is far too general an a deviation from the page title 'List of St Ives Artists'.
There are absolutely numerous artists currently in or near St Ives. How big is the radius of near St Ives? Who is considered a practicing artist to be noted on this list? It is important that notability of this article is adhered to in respect of the many great names of the past years. This page should remain historical and worthwhile, and rely on well cited information referring to established artist. It should not become a 'free for all' for anyone who happens to live near St Ives who wants a Wikipedia mention.CornwallArt (talk) 23:18, 2 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
