Mi-kun
[edit]Do we know for sure that Mikun was male in the Japanese version? In the "Torajima no Mi-kun" anime and manga, she was female. Evan1975 07:38, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- Good point, I was just relying on desslok.com who said the cat was male in the original Japanese. However, I'm aware that "-kun" can be used for girls as well as boys, so you could be right. Another feline question would be the origin of those plasters on his/her privates (visible when he/she is preening him/herself during Dr. Sado's radio contact in season 1, episode 10). Does that indicate neutering, or is it a cartoony way of covering up genitalia? :-$ Dave-ros 07:48, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- I just checked the manga; it's sort of an anthology of different Mi-kuns. Some of them are male. Anyways, the first Mi-kun was female. It says, "Because the tiger-striped markings on her face made her look masculine, we called her Mi-kun." The original cover of the manga also showed bandages, but on Mi's belly [1]. I don't really know what significance they have. The first story (the one the anime was made from) appears to be autobiographical. When I saw Matsumoto speak about 6 years ago, he said his current cat was Mi-kun III. As for Yamato's Mi-kun, they may have said what its gender was (I can't remember), but the "-kun" suffix does not necessarily mean male in the case of Matsumoto's cats. :) Evan1975 07:51, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Excessive wikilinking
[edit]Who's made every character's name into a (red) wikilink? Unless everyone's going to have an article of their own (which doesn't seem necessary)... is this some bizarre way of making everyone's name wikilinkable in other articles? Dave-ros 12:04, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Article Shredding Coming Up
[edit]Well, looks like I need to save this page since it is clear the wiki gods are about to {censored} this up one side and and down the other. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 32.97.110.142 (talk) 10:04, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Live Action movie character additions
[edit]Can these be marked non-canon? the Live Action destroys everything the cartoon has built up over the years, and thus, should not be considered canon like the alternate universe of Star Trek movies are.
Just seems foolish to write in what happened to the characters when clearly there's an older, more justified story for them all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Poojawa (talk • contribs) 11:08, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
