South America?

[edit]

South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands are part of Antarctica, not South America. What is the source for considering them South American?--Batmacumba (talk) 12:38, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong area for Suriname and/or French Guiana?

[edit]

Area

• Total	83,534 km2 (32,253 sq mi) says https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Guiana

but this article says French Guiana (France) 91,000 .

Also, Suriname looks to me to be at most one and a half times the area French Guiana on this map http://www.vidiani.com/maps/maps_of_south_america/large_detailed_political_map_of_south_america_with_roads_for_free.jpg, but in this article it says Suriname 163,820 which is about double. Update

[edit]

I combined the two tables and added a map. The article should look a little neater and hopefully easier to read. I also moved the notes to hyperlinked notes, and added a source for all the data. Wizmut (talk) 14:20, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
