Tasks remaining on the list
[edit]- add notes for SSSIs shared between AoSs
- consider how to add multiple GRs where disjoint sites -- some have extremely large numbers which won't fit format
- find reference for how Cheshire AoS differs from current (ceremonial) county
- switch from piped links to redirects for those SSSIs without specific article (once SSSI article creation done)
- consider adding map with locations -- would this need lat/longitude adding in addition to GRs?

SSSI articles
[edit]Stats as of 16 April 2010:
- 35 SSSIs have no mention that I could find -- Abbots Moss, Bagmere, Bar Mere, Beechmill Wood And Pasture, Betley Mere, Brookhouse Moss, Dane-In-Shaw Pasture, Danes Moss, Dunsdale Hollow, Flaxmere Moss, Flood Brook Clough, Gannister Quarry, Gleads Moss, Hallwood Farm Marl Pit, Hatherton Flush, Hatton's Hey Wood, Whittle's Corner And Bank Rough, Holcroft Moss, Holly Banks, Leek Moors, Linmer Moss, Little Budworth Common, Madams Wood, Norbury Meres, Pettypool Brook Valley, Plumley Lime Beds, Quoisley Meres, Red Brow Cutting, Roe Park Woods, Rostherne Mere, Tabley Mere, Taylor's Rough & Wellmeadow Wood, The Mere, Mere, Warburton's Wood And Well Wood, Well Rough And Long Plantation, Wettenhall And Darnhall Woods
- 10 are linked to inappropriate articles about buildings/CPs/towns which mention the SSSI but need splitting out -- Chapel Mere, Comber Mere, Dee Cliffs, Farndon, Frodsham Railway And Road Cuttings, Mersey Estuary, Oak Mere, Oakhanger Moss, Tatton Meres, Wimboldsley Wood,
Wybunbury Moss - 5 are brief mentions in appropriate (geographical) articles, which need expansion (or in some cases splitting out) -- Black Lake, Delamere in Delamere Forest; Raw Head in Bickerton Hill; Peckforton Woods in Peckforton Hills; Goyt Valley in River Goyt; Witton Lime Beds in Northwich Community Woodlands
- 5 stubs -- Hatch Mere, Inner Marsh Farm, Lindow Common, Rixton Clay Pits, Woolston Eyes
- 5 starts -- River Dane is barely above stub; also Bickerton Hill, Dee Estuary, Risley Moss, Sandbach Flashes
- 3 B class -- two of which do not mention the SSSI: River Dee (United Kingdom) & Geology of Alderley Edge; also Sound Heath
I plan to work primarily on creating those in South-West Cheshire for now (ie former Crewe & Nantwich plus borders with former Vale Royal & Chester); any assistance, particularly with those in other areas, is most welcome! Comment on this talk page with progress... Espresso Addict (talk) 15:12, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
I have updated Rixton Clay Pits, but not so that the SSSI aspect is particularly exphasised. --Langcliffe (talk) 08:54, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- I created Wybunbury Moss some time ago; I've just linked it. Dave.Dunford (talk) 15:34, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
