Should this be merged
[edit]This article is very short. I suggest that it should be merged with Network of Sacred Heart Schools. GreaterWikiholic 18:56, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]All the content is now centralized, but it still needs far better sourcing, if possible. TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 15:03, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- Why was the old article merged into this one? The correct name of the network is the "Network of Sacred Heart Schools," or so I think. Celeritas (talk) 08:59, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Sophie Barat founded the Network????
[edit]The article says: the network was founded by the French Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat. Is this really true? I guess Sophie Barat founded the Society of the Sacred heart, but this is article is about the U.S.-Network of schools. Was this really founded by Barat? Apropos: When was it founded? -- JanCK (talk) 15:49, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- Not sure, that was a carry over from the merge from a dubious source in the first place. I think this article *used* to be about a US network but the list of foreign schools is far longer. I think a decision needs to be made in that regard as well TRAVELLINGCARIMy storyTell me yours 17:06, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]Could anybody explain how this school meets the notability criteria?Eog1916 (talk) 13:59, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Accuracy
[edit]Many of the schools here do not correspond to the listing at https://www.sacredheartusc.education/community/international-sacred-heart-schools. For example, this article shows 44 Sacred Heart schools in India, but the link shows only 3. Can anybody explain this discrepancy? Ottoump (talk) 19:59, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
I've started to remove schools that are not listed as part of the Society of the Sacred Heart's network (and add a few that were omitted), per the link above.[1][2] My intent is to make this article usable. As it stands, it appears to list any school with the words "Sacred Heart" in its name, and that's clearly not consistent with the Lead explanation of this page. If I removed a school erroneously, I sincerely apologize. Please revert the edit or re-insert it, but I think an explanation of why it should be included here is in order. I've begun cleaning this up by deleting institutions that don't correspond to the list of Schools of the Sacred Heart, starting with North America, South America, Australia/New Zealand, and Europe. I've yet to see any response whatsoever to my proposal and activity, although making such a big change -- it will involve reducing something like 244 listings to around 150 -- makes me nervous. Am I doing the right thing here? Ottoump (talk) 20:44, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
- Yes. You have explained your rationale some time ago, no one has objected. Be bold; the worst that can happen is that people will note your edits and then see your explanation here. Huon (talk) 21:13, 10 November 2019 (UTC)

Name of article
[edit]The article is a List, but it seems to serve as a topic for Schools of the Sacred Heart. If it is indeed a list, then it probably shouldn't have the Lead paragraphs or the list of Notable alumni. If instead it's a general article about Schools of the Sacred Heart, then I propose moving it (i.e., renaming it with a redirect) to simply "Schools of the Sacred Heart" and beefing up the citations in the Notable Alumni section.
Re the list of Notable Alumni, there's already a Category:Schools of the Sacred Heart alumni. I understand from a related discussion that lists and categories can coexist, but just want to point it out that we could perhaps more productively document the topic pages of notable alumni and then cross-reference the Category page.
Thoughts? Ottoump (talk) 16:16, 17 December 2019 (UTC)
