Volume "Cover" Girl
[edit]On each volume there is a depiction of one of the girls from the series. Does anyone think the article should include which girl is on that volume? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.68.138.234 (talk) 21:52, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, this is a standard addition to manga chapter lists. If you'd like to add them, I can ensure that the additions are properly formatted. 「ダイノガイ千?!」(Dinoguy1000) 21:16, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
- Great! I have a list of which girl is on which volume, so let's do it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.68.138.234 (talk) 01:20, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- When formatting the list, it should be known that the girls appear on the back covers. Nozomu is always on the front cover. Grapeofdeath (talk) 05:32, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- In that case, a note in the lead is all that's necessary. Project consensus is that back cover (and spine) characters generally don't need to be noted on chapter lists. 「ダイノガイ千?!」(Dinoguy1000) 18:00, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps we could make an exception here? And each volume has a (single) different girl, so it helps to identify which volume it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.68.138.234 (talk) 17:45, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- It's something you would have to take up with WP:ANIME. Currently, consensus is that back cover characters generally don't get listed at all. 「ダイノガイ千?!」? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 09:33, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Proposed Deletion
[edit]I undid the proposed deletion on the main page. I'm not sure why this page would be targeted out. It is just like the many chapter lists for manga out there. Grapeofdeath (talk) 17:35, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- If that's true, than those should be prodded, too. This one is not being singled out, I just stumbled upon it while patrolling new pages. This list seems utterly non-notable and rather useless at that. Have a look at WP:What Wikipedia is not. --Crusio (talk) 18:01, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Chapter lists are notable and appropriate splits from a main anime/manga series (see WP:MOS-AM). Not only are they notable and useful, but there are quite a few which are featured lists. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 20:13, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- You're right, my bad. The links to Amazon are irregular, though. And nothing in this article indicates what it is about and why it is notable. And why is a list of Japanese titles useful? This is an international wiki... If this stuff is what WP is about, I'll have to start considering spending my time on more worthy issues. --Crusio (talk) 20:46, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- It has the Japanese titles because manga is a Japanese work. All articles on foreign works include their original titles in addition to the English ones. Its a new list so it doesn't yet have a proper, full lead. From those examples listed above, you can see what a fuller one is like. The links to Amazon need to be replaced with proper official ones (they should only be a "last resort" used primarily for older series that are out of print. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 21:08, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'll be getting around to the lead soon. I didn't even think about getting rid of the Amazon.co.jp references since several FL use them. I'm afraid the best I could do was replace them with links to the Kodansha store pages. Grapeofdeath (talk) 23:47, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Those should be fine, I use them to source other series of Kodansha's (see, for example, List of Negima!: Magister Negi Magi chapters, List of School Rumble chapters, and List of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle chapters). --Dinoguy1000 (talk · contribs) as 66.116.12.126 (talk) 00:49, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yep, Kodansha's are fine because they are official links and generally viewed as better than the Amazon links (and usually, between the two, the Kodansha's will be more accurate) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:51, 1 May 2009 (UTC)
- Not only that, but they're almost painfully easy to track down (unlike some other publishers, both English and Japanese), so I really love working on chapter lists for Kodansha series (and bonzo bonus points if the series has been licensed in English by Del Rey XD ). 「ダイノガイ千?!」(Dinoguy1000) 17:34, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
