Andy Harris and Jerry Garcia

Nothing has been mentioned in the show one way or the other. Some of the writers have indicated they feel he doesn’t exist, but Sarah Gilbert has said she feels he could still be introduced. So he’s in limbo for now. Rcarter555 (talk) 22:14, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

OK, good to know. What about Jerry Garcia? I remember he has been mentioned in Season 10 but I'm not sure if this was more of a joke. I wonder that Roseanne Barr didn't insist on bringing him on as a regular character for Season 10. I guess he has been retconned by now. Never ever does anybody mention him. They say things like "I'm moving into DJ's old room" but if Jerry was for real shouldn't it also have been his room later?

Although Jerry was mentioned in Season 10 as working on a fishing boat in Alaska, it appears that he has since officially been ret-conned out of the Conner universe. In The Conners, sometime during Season 3, it is mentioned that there are only three Conner children. This seems to be the the show's unsubtle way of indicating that Jerry never existed. Andy's fate is pretty much in limbo, and it's been hinted he could reappear in some manner. Having too many characters is confusing and dilutes the story line, particularly with ones that never played a significant role in the show. However, easing so much of the show's past history has been irrational and annoying.PNW Raven (talk) 12:19, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
