Mistranslation of Akio's name
[edit]In the series he reveals his name to be a parallel of Lucifer, and in my own researching of the language I have found this to be accurate. If someone can find a good way to fix and site that, it'd be appreciated, as my grasp of wiki code is weak at best. 24.164.21.57 (talk) 20:51, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Aradia
Major Cleanup needed
[edit]I just went through a decent amount but this still needs work. There is far too much fancruft and repetition on this page, and much of the "information" falls into the realm of personal interpretation. Likewise, Wikipedia is not a fansite. Let the linked character shrines analyze individual events, just put down facts. Katsuhagi 03:57, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- I cleaned up the brief character summaries on the main page as succinctly as possible. I'm trying to do the same with this charcter list, but it'll take awhile because it's REALLY disorganized. Couldn't the people who wrote down these facts at least separate the anime, manga, and movie descriptions? Utena is one of the most intelligent shows out there, so this page shouldn't be THIS full of fandumb! Nights1stStar (talk) 21:48, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Saionji as a bad person
[edit]Saionji didn't betray Wakaba out of "greed and personal goals". Mikage offered he a deal he couldn't refuse; if he simply gave the brooch to Anthy instead of Wakaba, he'll be readmitted on the school and the Seitokai. I like to think of Saionji as a greddy, angry, awful, but not overly "bad", dunce.
Image copyright problem with Image:UtenaTenjou.jpg
[edit]The image Image:UtenaTenjou.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Anthy and Utena
[edit]As they are the main characters of the series, I believe they should have their own pages. ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 16:16, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
- I definitely think that both characters could have their own pages. There's already a lot of info on Wikipedia on how the show was created and developed, which could be used for their "Development" sections. And I'm sure there probably a few sources, including academic ones, discussing the characters in terms of their gender, sexuality, and in Anthy's case, morality. --PanagiotisZois (talk) 16:51, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
- This doesn't need to be a formal proposal; if you think the characters should have their own articles, you can just WP:BEBOLD and do it. Morgan695 (talk) 17:12, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
Mrs. Ohtori
[edit]Is adding in Mrs. Ohtori too much? She only shows up for one scene in one episode (although quite loaded with meaning), and while this article is supposed to be a list of characters in RGU, I'm not sure if Wikipedia is trying to document everything. Not to mention I feel like alluding to her mere existence while being interesting would require mentioning why she's there, which would ruin the whole fun of the scene (don't go on Wikipedia if you don't want to get spoiled etc.?) and without it I wonder if there's much point at all to mentioning her.
