The most decorated Hispanic soldiers
[edit]The lead says that Puerto Ricans were "the most decorated Hispanic soldiers" in WWII. What does that means? Is it a comparison of the amount of medals given by Puerto Rico Military to their soldiers with the number of medals other Latin armies gave to their soldiers? --damiens.rf 11:16, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Copyrigth violation
[edit]If I understand correctly, almost all descriptions in this list are copied Verbatim from their sources, making this article a huge unnecessary copyright violation. Unless I got things wrong here, I suggest removing all descriptions and, if necessary, starting anew. --damiens.rf 11:19, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
- The descriptions in this list are not copied Verbatim from their sources. They come from the introduction of each of the subjects articles which are not within copyright violations. Tony the Marine (talk) 02:37, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Weird referece
[edit]What does this source is supposed to be? What I see there is a calendar of events for a city n Ohio, U.S.. It says "Below is a list of events for the date and department selected. To view event details click on the event name. To see events for another date click on a date to the left". But it's used in the article to support the assertion that:
- In Vietnam War Puerto Ricans were the most decorated Hispanic soldiers and
- Otero Barreto was the most decorated soldier in the Vietnam War;
How are these supported by that calendar? --damiens.rf 15:58, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Nieves, New York Times, 1993.
[edit]Some of the references just reads "Nieves, New York Times, 1993.". Could someone extend that or explain me how to do so? I want to verify the original archive, but I don't fully understand what that means (other than that the information is somewhere in one of the 1993 editions of NY Times). --damiens.rf 16:03, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

*Done! - Tony the Marine (talk) 13:19, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- Denied - After reviewing sources, it has been determined that the only reference provided is a self-published (family?) site which is not considered as reliable per Wikipedia standards. There are no reliable verifiable secondary sources such as newspaper or magazine articles which would prove tha notability of the subject. Tony the Marine (talk) 13:38, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
