[edit]The Catholic author one is pretty good now so I got to feeling bad there is no Protestant version. The problem I'm having though is I'm not sure what all denominations are considered Protestant. For example should I include Anglicans after all? And what about all those in New Thought Movements? Do Quakers count? Maybe the Hicksites don't, but what about the others? Then there's the non-trinitarians to wonder about.--T. Anthony 06:31, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Authors listed under "Church of God(Anderson)" - questions
[edit]- With one exception, these seem to be non-notable in the sense they do not have their own Wikipedia article. All authors listed in other sections have their own articles. Do these authors belong here?
- Assuming they do, is it acceptable to assume all our readers have Microsoft Word to read .doc files?
I would not have noticed this article except for a very prolific new editor who just started editing today. --CliffC 04:24, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, if they are not notable ( i.e. no wikipedia link) they certainly don't belong here - yet.Brian0324 19:20, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Anglicanism
[edit]... is not Roman Catholicism. For the article to insinuate, without source, that it's too close to be included in a list of protestant faiths is POV. Jclemens (talk) 21:59, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Science Fiction
[edit]What, do those authors belong to a denomination called "Science Fiction and Fantasy"? The other categories are by denomination--I'm probably going to recategorize or delete them at some point. Jclemens (talk) 21:59, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- agree......that was a goofy category......threw off the whole flow of things. Buddpaul (talk) 03:40, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Huh?
[edit]This is an odd list......and I'm a Protestant!! Buddpaul (talk) 03:37, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Structure into denominations seems perverse
[edit]It seems perverse to structure a list of authors into denominations. Up to about 1900, the default position in English was for authors to be Protestant, which is why it makes sense to have a genre of Catholic writers (Greene, Hopkins, Waugh, Chesterton, etc). This is a defined category, with its own community. 'Protestant' either needs to include several thousand more authors, or, if it only relates to people writing about Protestantism or their particular denomination, many of the people on the list should not be there.Martin Turner (talk) 21:41, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
