Correction in the name of awardee

[edit]

As per the press note released by Ministry of Human Affairs, Govt of India Sr.No.108 of the Padma Awardees list for the year 2021 Padmasri announced to Sri K.C.Sivasankar from Tamilnadu in the field of Arts posthumously. But his name is KC Sivasankaran, a well known illustrator of Chandamama. This was confirmed by MHA office through e-mail.--స్వరలాసిక (talk) 10:42, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

adding notes about recipients

[edit]

these are just names if you cant mention the reasons for awarding them. two lines wont do any harm 103.179.102.116 (talk) 02:39, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If so, they need to be reliably sourced (not from Twitter) and worded properly — DaxServer (t · m · c) 14:06, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting an edit

[edit]

It was me who had made some substantial changes in the structure of this article at the time awards for the year 2022 were announced. I structured the article with the following sections:

  1. Numbers of recipients by year and by field
  2. Numbers of recipients by year and by State/Union Territory/Other Nationality
  3. Recipients by year
    1. List for 2020
    2. List for 2021
    3. List for 2022
    4. List for 2023

I believe that this structured presentation of the list is much better than presenting all the names for all the years in one long list. Also, I believe that the information regarding the numbers of recipients by year/filed and also of numbers of recipients by year/State will give an overall picture of the distribution of the Awards. If any editor feels that the above structured presentation is bad he/she may change the presentation but may please kindly explain why it is bad in this talk page.
