Just for room for clarity:

  • Bullets: This allows the formatting to line up more naturally. IT also allows for clear organization of information.
  • Teams vs Active: Two parts...
    1. The team lists show where a character came from before joining, and went after leaving the team. It also highlights characters used in multiple teams at the same time.
    2. "Active" is a default state, the character is active unless noted as presumed dead or retired. And "Active in the Outsiders" is down right redundant for purposes of this list. The assumption is that, if the character is in a section, they were active with the team from "First appearance" on.
This does imply that "Left/Quit" and "Rejoined" should be mentioned in the notes for some of the characters.
  • "Deceased": Deaths in comic books are, at best, tenuous things. The writers and the medium hold the door open for the characters to come back. It may be weaseling, but there is no guarantee that the characters that have died are gone for good.
  • Spoiler: Since "Five of a Kind" just starte (2 of 5 released) and the new Batman and the Outsiders isn't due till October, the information from those should be show with caution.
  • Sections as seperate teams: In laying out the table, an assumption, right or wrong, was made that the team went defunct 3 time: At the end of volumes 1, 2, and 3 of Outdisers. In treating each iteration as seperate, returning characters are repeated beacuse it is a diferent team.

  • Bullets: both the Teen Titans and JLA pages both use the formatting I attributed, and if I don't change it, someone else will. There is a desire to keep things on Wikipedia uniform. I understand you put a great deal of work into the page, and it's appreciated, but it must conform to the other pages or it risks being deleted.
  • Teams vs Active:
    1. Singular characters are referred to multiple times in the list. The purpose of the other team lists is only to showcase new additions to the team, not to rehash the old ones.
    2. "Active" is the default state, the only teams that matter are the ones they are currently active in. Not all of the teams they joined. That is redundancy.
  • "Deceased": Although many comic book deaths aren't "final", they are still currently dead. Until that changes, they are Deceased.
  • Five of a Kind has confirmed two new members in addition to Batman. Since they are published as being members of the team, it is canon and has a place in the list. So far, there are no new members to the team that haven't been a part of it before, so a new section doesn't require creation yet. --CmdrClow 08:21, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Bullets and singular character as originally structured are similar to List of Checkmate members, List of Doom Patrol members, List of Freedom Fighters members, List of Infinity Inc. members, and Sentinels of Magic (bullets only for the last two). All of which have been as sable as the JLA, JSA and Titans.
Arguably, the Notes section can be pared down to:
  • Founder
  • Acted as leader, presumably with tenure.
  • Left/Retired/Last appeared as a member
  • Returned
  • Deceased as of/Death presented in (I fave the later, the wording seems less awkward)
That would still leave one issue.
That last point I had above. It is something that open to correction, and seems to need it. If there was no dissolution between vol 1 and 2 or vol 3 and "Five of a Kind", then the sections need to be merged, leaving 2 sections. They are two separate teams though, of which three character have been members of both.

Cmdrclow asked me to look in, but I'm not sure what the issue is. My only major input is that no info on Five of a Kind should be included until it's over and batman debuts the team. Based on the first issue, Nightwing's status is clearly up in the air. Assuming facts based on less than clear evidence isn't a good idea. We'er not a scooper site, let's wait and be sure we know the composition of the team. If someone's got citations outside of the by issue, then fine, but citing based on conclusions ddrawn before a story arc is over seems bad policy to me. See the Hulk page and the artocious mess that page has become, esp. with World War Hulk going on. Patience is a virtue. if there's something specific you wanted me to weigh in on, Clow, please let me know on my talk or here, I'll be glad to help, both of you are generally decent AGF'able editors, glad to help out. cmdrClow asked for my opinion, more specifically, on the 'deceased' or 'apparently deceased' issue. The problem is that there's dead (Barry Allen), and there's eh, dead again (Donna Troy). I'd say that in general, such status issues shouldn't be in these lists at all. Simply link to the character bio, and let that explain the character history, or cover it in the section of the team's article covering that story arc. Because chaacter statuses (statii?) are so mutable in this medium, it's best to cover them in the text of an article, not summarized in a list. For example, try explaining Shift in a three word blurb. "remerged to Metamorpho in issue XYZ' isn't bad, but it leaves a reader lost because of the bizarre nature of Shift. Cover it in his section of the Metamorpho article (or wherever his is.) that's my input, drop the status categories entirely, and cover them in the character's article. I can see the logic in that, at least mostly. This list is supposed to deal with just the Outsider teams, so first and last appearances as a member are important here. The leadership terms and intentions (Indigo) are also important, but to a lesser extent. Everything else that's in the "Notes" is best left to the character articles. - J Greb 17:50, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Add more members to In Other Media Young Justice section

[edit]

Listen, guys. I just watched the start of Season 4 of Young Justice and I hope someone adds Lia Briggs, Windfall, Robin and Stargirl to the team. IronKnight374 (talk) 18:50, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
