You realise that you could have just nominated for Featured List? Anyhow...

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose is "clear and concise", without copyvios, or spelling and grammar errors:

    General Frederick E. Morgan should be Lieutenant General Frederick E. Morgan
    appointed OBE link OBE. Better still, expand and put the abbreviation in parentheses. Also, a think an indefinite article is required.
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
    Jervis-Read had joined the Royal Engineers from university, as a 2nd Lieutenant Link "2nd Lieutenant" and remove the capital; this is only required when it is being used as a title
    he held the rank of Colonel As above

    A. Major aspects:
    Their major contribution was to Operations Cockade and Bodyguard but I'm none the wiser as to what they actually did.
    Lieutenant Colonel Roger Fleetwood Hesketh TD, DL, OBE (28 July 1902 – 14 November 1987) Why is his date of birth and death here but but no one else's? Whu sis his father importnat if he's not notable?
    His later career was similar to that of Barnes Actually, his career was similar before. Both were cavalry officers on the staff at West Point. Barnes transferred to the USAF in 1947, while Barnes remained in the Army, and died in Vietnam.
