Court tennis

[edit]

There is an absence of the sport 'court tennis' in the list of medals won in tennis. I believe court tennis, known as 'royal tennis' in the UK, was an Olympic sport from 1896 to 1904. 128.197.67.27 22:38, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is considered a different sport, as per the official reference here. See Jeu de paume at the 1908 Summer Olympics for the one time it was an official medal sport. Andrwsc 03:21, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Venus Williams

[edit]

In the athlete medal leaders table, Venus Williams is listed as "4/5" gold medals and "0/1" silver, for a total of 5 medals. Is there some doubt about whether one of her medals was gold or silver? I think some explanation in the article would help, this means nothing to me as a 'typical reader'. 83.151.252.36 (talk) 13:38, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ah - possibly she has just won silver in the 2016 mixed doubles and the article has not been updated to reflect the result of the match? 83.151.252.36 (talk) 13:42, 15 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
