Changes in crew
[edit]My apologies for an editing flub on 7/12/06. I replaced the text I accidently deleted while adding in a few links to new information about Roy Steele.
Additionally - due to the recent changes in the broadcast crew of the Oakland A's, I recommend that this page be re-organized, as information regarding Bill King is intermixed with information about the current broadcasting team. I recommend the following sections: Current Broadcast Crew: (Korach, Cotroneo, Fosse, Roye, Kuiper, Buan, etc...) Bill King: He deserves a his own section, I suppose, without too much biographical information as he has his own page within Wikipedia. Previous Broadcasters: By Saam, etc. (This is already well organized). Perhaps information about Steve Bitker can be moved here as he has not, to my knowledge, returned to the A's in 2006.
any suggestions? 67.188.83.178 08:17, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I have a suggestion: why is Roy Steele being included as a "broadcaster"? He's not a broadcaster. He's a public address announcer in the stadium.
I also take exception with this entire section:
As noted above, the late Bill King announced the A's games on radio from 1981 to 2005. He partnered on A's broadcasts for 15 years with Lon Simmons, creating an unmatched 1-2 punch of Hall of Fame broadcasters, with Ken Korach replacing Simmons for the 1996 season.
Exactly how did "the late Bill King" announce the A's from 1981 to 2005? He was alive then, not dead. Also, how were King and Simmons "unmatched" as "hall of fame broadcasters" when only Simmons is in the Hall of Fame? BayRadioDJ (talk) 01:05, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:King simmons fosse.jpg
[edit]Image:King simmons fosse.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
