Opinion on the Value of this Page
[edit]Personally, I find the information on this page extremely useful and interesting. Whether the particular individuals that are listed are worthy of separate articles is to me irrelevant. The value of this page rests in its attempt at being comprehensive, listing people who may not be worthy of an entire encyclopedia article, but who certainly are of note in their respected fields and business communities. Although I feel this article is of more value if it is more inclusive, I do see the danger of arbitrary listings of everybody and their secretary. Obviously I am open to suggestions. Can't Seem to Find References for These Alumni
[edit]I cannot seem to find references documenting that these people have actually attended Nova Southeastern, and as such I am removing them from the article space. If anyone can find references corroborating their alumni status it would be very much appreciated.
- Bill Elfo, Sheriff of Whatcom County, Washington
- Hazelle "Hazel" Rogers, Florida State Representative 94th District. Lauderdale Lakes, Florida.
- Cathy Areu, Catalina magazine founder and publisher

Judiciary red-links
[edit]Not all judges are notable. It appears that over time editors have added any judge who attended Nova Southeastern University to this article.
To be listed in this article individuals need to be both notable and be a former attendee of Nova Southeastern University.
The notability guidelines that apply for judiciary typically are WP:NPOL and WP:GNG. A detailed break down for judges can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject United States courts and judges/Notability.
By my reading state judges below the state supreme court are not inherently notable. I reviewed a number of AFD decisions regarding non-federal US judges. Very few were kept. Those that were had significant coverage, generally due to high profile cases they had handled.
I plan to review the existing state judge red-links and remove those who don't have some claim to notability beyond simply being a judge. Gab4gab (talk) 18:16, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
