why remove the expanded info?
[edit]why remove the expanded info. why not move it to a new page if that page doesn't exist.
- You've answered your own question there. If the label is notable, then create it's own article (as per the existing ones) and put the info about the label on it's own page. Check one of the existing labels for guides on layout, formatting etc. Good luck in creating your articles! Lugnuts 07:07, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
What I'm saying is don't remove the info that doesn't appear somewhere else. I've bothered to put in a whole bunch of relevant info on nz record labels, important ones with more than one release, and you've just deleted all that info and left a scant list without properly managing that info.
I started the list for everyone, how bout you treat the info with a little respect.
You're missing the point. Your list looks like vandalism at worst, and at best spam. If these are indeed notable record labels, then create the article for each one and put the info in there. Lugnuts 07:08, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
See also the following similar themed lists for what I mean:
- List of electronic music record labels
- List of hip hop labels
- List of independent UK record labels
- List of jungle and drum'n'bass record labels

I appreciate your efforts to make everything neat and tidy but it appears you don't have a great deal of knowledge on NZ record labels, and your efforts to tidy things up have deleted important knowledge that is not on the wiki site. The stuff you refer to as spam and vandalism is actual factual detail on record labels in new zealand. you've removed this information and your links for things like children's hour and yellow eye lead to articles that are nothing to do with nz music or bands. there's a problem here. I'm not sure why you are editing a page on a topic you limited knowledge. maybe you should leave it to someone who knows a bit about the subject, or leave it for me to tidy up when I get a chance. What you've done hasn't been much help to informing people on the topic. no offence meant etc. If you want to do something useful go back to my original post and hook those details up to pages, otherwise its just a silly pissing contest and I'm not interested in that.
I'm editing it because you seemingly have no or little knowledge on WP:MOS or WP:L. Maybe read those after you get off your high horse accusing people of not having any knowledge on the subject in hand. No offence meant etc. Lugnuts 15:55, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
the subject is nz record labels. the medium is wikipedia. the information you deleted is not "spam or vandalism", and it is now not available on this site. how are you helping again, and how is your knowledge and insight into this topic greater than mine. I named all the owners of the major indie record labels for the last 30 years. you deleted them in order to maintain the definition of 'list' as list. and then gave me examples of that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Lost_episodes there's another list for you, showing it can be done in different ways.
I don't want to argue with you. you're obviously more up on the wiki layout thing than me, and good for you on that count, I'm merely trying to pass on my knowledge on this subject for everyone to share. if you want to delete that then I'm not going to fight you on it, it just seems counter productive.
