Talk:List of Morehouse College alumni

Please add Martin Luther King to the list of Morehouse College alumni. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. graduated from Morehouse in 1948 with a BA in sociology. This is a well known fact.
Also, Julian Bond attended and graduated from Morehouse in 1971. And even Herman Cain is a graduate of Morehouse. These are just a few names of notable African American men who are alumni. Please update your list to include them.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tdwatkin (talk • contribs) 21:19, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Pulitzer Prize nomination claim
[edit]This alumni list claims that Michael DeMond Davis was a Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist. There's no such claim in the article under his name, and I don't see online any primary source listing him as one of the nominees. Removing the Pulitzer reference from this article until a reference is produced.69.122.194.171 (talk) 23:04, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
Medicine, social activism
[edit]Clinton E. Warner, Jr. (C’48) was the first black board-certified surgeon in Atlanta. He was instrumental in the desegration of Atlanta, in that he sued (and won) the City of Atlanta when they installed the infamous Peyton Barricade in southwest Atlanta. He was a financial supporter of students in the Civil Rights Movement and was one of the founders of the Atlanta Inquirer newspaper. He was also a party in the suit that desegregated Emory University and the Fulton County Medical and Dental Society. He founded the first minority medical surgical group, the Atlanta Surgical Professional Association. He was a member of the Morehouse Board of Directors and the founding chair of the Board of the Morehouse School of Medicine. He was born in Graves Hall on the Morehouse campus, as his father, Clinton E. (Pop) Warner was a member of the Morehouse staff. 173.59.121.222 (talk) 18:30, 28 October 2024 (UTC)
