Article creation
[edit]I have created this article with the intention of categorizing all of the state's game and wildlife areas from the older version that only listed game areas. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources lists seven additional properties that I cannot seem to find any information about (no PDF map or any outside information). Their name merely appears on the master list. For that reason, specific information about these properties in the table is left blank:
- Barker Creek State Wildlife Management Area
- Deadman Swamp State Wildlife Management Area
- Friday State Wildlife Management Area
- Lake–36 State Wildlife Management Area
- Mud Creek Flooding State Wildlife Management Area
- Russell Lake / Lake St. Helen State Wildlife Management Area
- Wraco Lodge Lake Flooding State Wildlife Management Area
As of November 2019, only 8 areas have their own articles: Allegan, Beaver Island, Dead Stream, Houghton Lake Flats (North and South combined), Maple River, Pointe Mouilee, and Rush Lake. As protected areas of Michigan, I believe all the areas warrant their own article and potential information not related to the DNR websites.
I created this template but did not use it in the main article since there are obviously too many red links, and some of them are just redirects back to the main article.
I openly welcome future creations and any suggestions. —Notorious4life (talk) 20:40, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
