Clean-up

Canadian airdates (removal)
[edit]Remove: The candaian airdates are not needed since this is a USA wikipedia. Plus we only add airdates from other countries if the show only airs there or aired there first. Does anyone else have something to say? Elbutler (talk) 17:01, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Agree with your removal -- and, btw, nice job on the episode recap rewrites to avoid copyvio. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 22:59, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, Elbutler, I can still be on wikipedia as my IP. This was meant to be a CANADIAN show. Thank you. 154.20.40.205 (talk) 00:11, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Meant to be a Canadian show. There's no view of U.S.A. in the show. The views are all about Vancouver. GO TO VANCOUVER. IT FIRST AIRED ON KNOWLEDGE. Using two airdates is the best way - that's how the Charlie and Lola article works. Tddmoines (talk) 21:36, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- They both aired on the same day, September 1st 2008, neither country "aired it first". We have reached an in-pass, two of us want to keep the Candian airdates, two don't. I suggest we don't touch the page untill we get a second opinion from a 5th user. We're all civilized people here, plus if anyone reverts the page again, they will be breaking the 3-Revert rule. Elbutler (talk) 22:00, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- I'll leave it alone for a while; although technically I wouldn't be breaking the letter of the three-revert rule, it would be edit warring, which is equally bad. (And a good rule is that if one finds oneself attempting to justify multiple reversions of non-vandalism by careful counting, one is probably breaking the spirit of the rule to begin with.) Note, however, that this is NOT a USA wikipedia, this is an English-language Wikipedia. Possibly, if this was originally a Canadian broadcast show (which is questionable, since from the Canadian airdates provided, it seems to have been broadcast on the same days in the US and Canada to start with), the proper airdates could be only the Canadian ones. A more complete discussion, with outside input, is needed.
I disagree with your count, Elbutler; I assert that Tddmoines is a sock of User:Simulation12 and 154.20.40.205 -- the timing of Tddmoines's appearance, the common and narrow field of interests, discussion style, and the duplication of edit summaries support this. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 22:13, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Either list both US and CA airdates, or acknowledge the point Simulation12 is trying to make. Don't block someone for disagreeing/having a different point of view. That's abuse of administrative privileges, IMHO. 71.10.88.69 (talk) 03:55, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- Simulation12 wasn't blocked for disagreeing or having a different point of view. Simulation12 was blocked for disruptive (and sometime incoherent) editing, rudeness, personal attacks, and eventually sockpuppetry.
Possibly an RfC should be opened on the issue of airdates, or perhaps the television WikiProject has some useful advice? -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 04:06, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
