Consensus not to merge, but to link to summaries on season pages
Oppose The current season articles follow the pattern of Friends (season 1), The Cleveland Show (season 1), and other television series articles. The two extant individual season articles are already 41K and 56K, respectively. Combined they would yield an article nearly 100K in size, far too large by the usual standards. As this series is both widely discussed in the media and draws strong ratings for the Travel Channel, it's reasonable to presume that the series will continue for several future seasons thus further inflating the byte count of a monolithic list. As both season lists are well-documented, it would not be reasonable to slash the text solely for the purpose of an artificially low byte-count. - Dravecky (talk) 05:52, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Weak Oppose I agree with Dravecky about the size of the page List of Man v. Food episodes. I can foresee that in a very short time there would be pressure to trim the episode details in order to reduce the article size. I like the amount of individual episode detail the way it is now. And I don't want to lose the pictures! At the same time, I note the amount of identical information presented in the two articles. Centrepull (talk) 09:13, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. I agree that size is an important factor, and that merge may therefore be unwise. I still don't like the amount of redundancy, though. Maybe List of Man v. Food episodes should be shortened and linked to the other pages? How is this covered for other multi-season television programs? Cnilep (talk) 14:59, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
