As constituted, List of Maltese films of 2014 is a list of just one film, and it can't be readily expanded as the only film ascribed a 2014 release date in the base List of Maltese films is the same film. Malta does not otherwise have a comprehensive set of "List of Maltese films of [YYYY]" splitouts at all, and 2014 is the only such list that actually exists separately from the omnibus — in that year specifically, an editor just exhaustively created "List of [Country] films of 2014" spinoffs for every country that had even one 2014 film to list, but that was never done before 2014 and has never been done again since 2014 either. It's typically only done for large countries that have a lot of films to list, such that a single "List of Country films" would be far, far too long to be useful (which isn't the case here), but for smaller countries where by-year lists might only have one or two or three films total, we just keep them all together in one place rather than splitting them out into dozens of small by-year lists.
