Kallor

[edit]

What Race is Kallor. If he lead armies when the t'lan Imass were but childern, that means he was of the elder races. Yet he appears Human. What race were the citizens of his empire? I've only read up the house of chains so far, but i doubt this is a major spoiler. infact i doubt wether it's known at all. --Oxinabox (talk) 07:12, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

hmm, He walked the earth when the t'lan Imass were but childern, it didn't say he led armies did it. He may have had his empired after the Imass were "gone"/ evolved. Thus his empire could have been of humans. but in the prologue of memories of ice the elder gods (therefore it had to bell along time ago) siad the destroy empire should be removed from the young world. (young so long time ago). and Kallor had to have built his empire in his races natural life time as he didn't become imortal till the destuction of his empire. but he could have been of a very long lived race (don't the edur live for thousands of years? and the toblakia for hundreds?), he couldn't have been Tiste though, it would be to obviose in his description, unless he hid it like L'oric, the tiste invasions was at the end of time of the K'chain malle (some time when the jughut became more present). but most tiste races are imortal (except the endur i think it's in the article somewhere) and he wasn't since that was his curse. This needs to be in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oxinabox (talkcontribs) 02:47, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article is useless and should be replaced

[edit]

This article lists about 200 names, with the books they appear in. However, there is little or no detail about any of the characters, which makes this page almost useless. I am attempting to create a more useful version at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Apoorv020/List_of_major_characters_in_Malazan_Book_of_the_fallen , with information about the characters till the end of Dust of Dreams. I actually LOVE the completeness of this list. It has, and continues to be, extremely useful as a database of great character names that I often like to (re)use in RPG video games that I play.
I loved the complete list so much, that I created myself an account, specifically so that I could voice my sadness at seeing it's removal. A detail heavy list of the MAJOR characters is well and good, but nothing can replace a complete list of every character. One person's "useless list" is another's "treasured resource."
