I find this pretty confusing that some Vilniuses and Kaunases are located in Lithuania and some in the Soviet Union. Isn't this important to mention that Vilnius was located still in Lithuania (or the Lithuanian SSR) in the soviet times besides it was in the Soviet Union? I think it is important since it is the Lithuanian records article. But if not, then I can't understand how could there be Lithuanian records in the soviet times if there wasn't even a place (and the people) like Lithuania? German records for example sometimes achieved in cities in East Germany / West Germany or Germany, depends on time... Apart: Lithuanian athletic federation accept these records in time of soviet union, thats why they called Lithuanian records.Montell 74 (talk) 09:36, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
All sport federations was working during Soviet Union occupation times. There was also held national championships of Lithuania of many sports. Lithuania had autonomy, just like for example Hong Kong or Guam now, which also have they national records. All Lithuanian sportspeople, who set records during Soviet Union occupation had Lithuanian passports. --Bearas (talk) 12:34, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
But I alo personally thing that it would be a great idea to use national SSR flags of all 15 former SSR states instead just writing Soviet Union and using one flag, beacause for example when we write about Norfolk island records, we use state flag of Norflok, not the Australian flag. --Bearas (talk) 12:59, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thats a good idea!Montell 74 (talk) 17:41, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
