What type of information should appear in the Infobox?

[edit]

A user has recently added a generic infobox to this article, using the Infobox template. This template is meant to be the basis for building custom templates, rather than being used in articles directly. But its use poses the question of what information should appear in the infobox and what is the purpose of having an infobox. To me, the key summary statistic is the number of detainees by a nationality. Their detention or release status is also important. However, I do not think that the detainees names need appear in the infobox, because this would become unwieldy with a lot of detainees for some nationalities. With at least 35 list articles by detainee nationality, a custom infobox is probably worthwhile. But what information should it contain? - Cameron Dewe (talk) 02:30, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
