Talk:List of Israeli musical artists
Appearance
Alphabetical order
[edit]Isn't it a bit strange that all these artists are ordered by their first names? Is there any reason behind this? If so, please elaborate. Or, if someone can, please order them according to last name. I will do it eventually if no one replies. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 08:18, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it's been a while, but I have re-ordered the article. Doesn't seem like many are watching this page. Too bad. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 16:30, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- The name of this article is "Israeli musical artists." All the bands should grouped separately, or the name of the page changed accordingly. In addition, many of these "musical artists" are unknown. If there is no page on Wikipedia, there should be a reference listed to show some kind of recognition. Otherwise they should be deleted--Gilabrand (talk) 05:37, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- I am watching this page. Very soon i plan to add {{Mooma artist}} template to all artists and improve this list on the way. Everyone is welcome to join. (In he.wiki most artists already have an equivalent template.)
- If you are removing anyone, please mention it on the talk page or at least write a summary. Thanks. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 12:47, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Removing entries
[edit]In the spirit of the above section, I believe we should start cleaning up this list. I propose that we keep the entries that have a Wikipedia article in either English or Hebrew, as I don't think it's practical for any user to actually go through the list and check the individual notability of the artists. —Ynhockey (Talk) 12:23, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Seems a good idea, however I'm not sure that linking to he: where there is no en: version, as an Ip has been doing, is a good idea. Rich Farmbrough, 19:39, 30 August 2010 (UTC).
- I have made the he: links explicit. I hope they encourage folk to translate the articles to en:. Rich Farmbrough, 21:13, 30 August 2010 (UTC).
