German WWII Navy Base near Siracusa, Sicily
[edit]In 1964, I was a Boy Scout on a camp out near the ocean and near Siracusa Sicily. The place was a popular camping site. On day, a few of us climbed through a fence and found ourselves in a very-nearly-new condition German Navy Base. The buildings were mostly in perfect condition and the contents were mostly there. There was colorful Gothic German lettering outside the buildings. At the waterside, there were 2-5 long narrow slips that could probably only have ben used by Submarines. I have not ever seen any references to this base. 99.198.13.250 (talk) 16:54, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
