Which airport is to Amsterdam and Chennai?? Please Answer my question —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amir Hamzah 2008 (talk • contribs) 02:19, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Before Garuda terminated its Amsterdam-Jakarta service, the airport used by Garuda in Amsterdam was Schipol, which is the largest and main airport serving Amsterdam and the Netherlands. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.137.19.173 (talk) 16:07, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Garuda back to AMS via DXB Question
[edit]Garuda Indonesia announced on the 13th October 2009 that they are resuming Amsterdam on the 1st June 2010. The flight is to be operated by an Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a stop over in Dubai. My question is, do we list Dubai? I thought we shouldn't as it seems to only be a tech stop, not destination. Your comments please! Regards, Zaps93 (talk) 15:18, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- If the AMS-DXB segment is not bookable, then don't list it. If it is bookable, then it is. Snoozlepet (talk) 16:51, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- I've just been on their site, Amsterdam hasn't been added to booking system yet, I suspect it shall be added closer to the time as it is scheduled for June 2010. No Dubai on the booking system yet either so we shall have to wait until closer to the time. Regards, Zaps93 (talk) 17:47, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- I just looked up Amadeus, and it seems GA's DXB-AMS leg is bookable. If so, then maybe GA's one of those airlines that are rather slow with their websites. (That wouldn't be surprising!) Would you check it out as well? Thanks. Jasepl (talk) 17:43, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- I will have a look but I do believe we shouldn't add it until their website itself states it? I believe Garuda's website is more reliable to go by than Amadeus? Just my thought. Like I said though, I think we best leave until website shows it as bookable. Zaps93 (talk) 17:48, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- True. However, there are a lot of examples out there where the airline is terribly slow at updating their website. Eg: Air India's site still says nothing about their IAD flights, and you can't even buy a ticket or look at schedules for that flight on airindia.com. However, the flight is loaded and available for sale everywhere else. Garuda might be a similar situation. Just a thought. Thanks. Jasepl (talk) 18:09, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I guess we shall wait till January giving them plenty of time to add it, if nothing by then, we will have to go by Amadeus. Regards. Zaps93 (talk) 19:08, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

- You people need to get a life, is this issue really that important.116.71.32.43 (talk) 19:12, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- Erm, yes?! We need to provide valid information to those looking and if people keep adding stuff without reliable sources that is not helping is it? Zaps93 (talk) 19:38, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
People are still adding Dubai as a destination. DXB is not even loaded into their res systems yet and AMS is still not loaded into their reservation system either but it is announced by airline in their press release. Snoozlepet (talk) 02:39, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- Garuda have updated their website with a new booking system, news, timetable, everything. Dubai is not bookable whilst Amsterdam is. So Dubai does not get listed as a destination. Zaps93 (talk) 20:28, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- Great...I think Dubai will a tech stop on the CGK-AMS route now. Snoozlepet (talk) 17:02, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- Tehn why is Dubai in schedules, tech stop destinations are never listed in there.119.155.47.220 (talk) 03:37, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
- Dubai is now bookable on their website. That's why it is listed as a destination. Snoozlepet (talk) 20:29, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Garuda destination
[edit]I change some of the destination for Garuda Indonesia. Garuda as of today still does not fly to Taiwan (Taipei Taoyuan). Garuda only has codeshare agreement with China Airlines. Garuda also does not fly to Dili in Timor Leste. Hkurniawan (talk) 15:50, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- GA dont serve TPE but some is adding again despite removal, reumption plan cancelled too. Dammam not served anymore but this person keeps adding again. India plans not announced only new bilateral signed, yet this person added with fake dates.116.71.2.247 (talk) 12:35, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- Those were added again and I removed them. No reference on Garuda serving India anytime soon and TPE launch cancelled. Snoozlepet (talk) 04:59, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Beijing and Shanghai destinations
[edit]I don't think Garuda operated any flights to Beijing and Shanghai anymore. Been so for a few years now. I often have to fly in and out of Beijing and I never found direct flights with Garuda. FlyingButterman (talk) 06:37, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
