Is it just me or are there some dups in this list? I see Fox and Panther both in there twice for example. Not my area of expertise or I would have merged them. Also not sure where one would source this sort of stuff. ++Lar: t/c 21:33, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Panther's there three times. I'm going to go ahead and merge/remove the duplicates I see. I would have removed the duplicates, but I can't figure out how to work the table. REwhite (talk) 07:00, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

filling in the blanks...

[edit]

I noticed that the column for years for most all the years for each platform was left blank, so I filled that in as best I can. There are a few that are still blank, as the information is still a little ambiguous. Also, with vehicles like the Ranger, the F-Series, and the E-Series...these were in production long before Ford switched to the current nomenclature of platform naming (the Aerostar was the first to adopt it...).

I also fixed a couple of red links and deleted what should be the last duplicate (the Aerostar's VN1 platform).

Page layout redone

[edit]

To make this list easier to read as well as edit, I re-grouped things instead of having one giant list. Now, the platforms for vehicles that aren't cars are in a group together; the rest of the content was grouped between current in-production platforms and out-of-production platforms. Many of the blank fields were filled in doing some research given the example automobiles based on each platform (only a few blanks are left).

Additionally, I added a column to the table specifying "Region"; this specifies the primary part of the world that each group of vehicles in a platform were marketed in. Some vehicles were marketed only in North America, others in Australia, etc... This is useful information for the purposes of comparison. SteveCof00 (talk) 23:49, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
