This list seems to be missing Joan of Arc from Jeanne d'Arc

AMERICAN INDIANS AND OTHERS

I've always been a bit puzzled over why we translate names such as Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull into English but don't translate such names as Hippocrates (horse master) or Peter (the 'Rock', which means we miss a Biblical pun). Article format

This article is kind of a mess. First, there's no consistency at all to each entry. Second, I have no idea why it isn't in a table (other than that tables are rather difficult to use in Wikipedia). If it were to have a table, I would propose something like this (with better header names):

English name	Born/died	Original name	Original language/country of origin
Mark Antony	83–30 BCE	Marcus Antonius	Latin, Ancient Rome
Thomas Aquinas	1225–1274	Tommaso d'Aquino	Italy

Personally, I don't think a description of who the person was adds much to the article and just amounts to clutter, but I suppose it might help to add some kind of context. RobertM525 (talk) 21:28, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
