Judges section

[edit]

Since Tila, Majumdar, and Lofaso are the three primary judges, should we add a "Judges" section before the episode lists stating that they're the three main judges but other judges preside occasionally? The main reason I ask is because those three should either be linked to in every season (at least once) or not at all. I know it would make a short section, but it would also provide all the necessary links. Primefac (talk) 02:23, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I like the new page! Just one thing.

[edit]

Hey there! Just wanted to say thanks for adding the new page for the episodes. They were getting a bit clustered on the other page. Admittedly I just never knew how to drag all the episodes over to a brand new page. I have one question though, is it possible in the chart you've created to separate the individual dishes with lines?

I had noticed that on Mobile View that the dishes for each episode would get clustered together and it would be difficult for people looking on their phones or tablets to tell what the dishes for each round were right away. So I thought it would look cleaner to separate the dishes individually. That's what I had done on the original Cutthroat Kitchen page (separating the dishes individually with lines). And I would like to do it again on this new one, but I can't seem to figure out how your table works in order to be able to do that (if at all). I'd appreciate any help. Thanks again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lefty112 (talkcontribs) 04:31, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In a word, no; you can't add additional line breaks using {{episode list}}. However, I've made the dishes into a bulleted list, which seems to help a bit (one can see where a new dish starts now). Primefac (talk) 17:03, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization

[edit]

I like the new layout of the episodes. But there is one thing that was carried over from the old page that I think is unnecessary. Why are the lists of dishes in title case? This requires that almost every entry be a piped link. Except for a few foods that contain proper names, I believe the dishes should be lower cased, or at most an initial capital.    → Michael J    04:42, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Michael J, in the process of fixing the SEAOFBLUE that was originally in the article, I have been trying to trim down on the Title Case and going for the more common Sentence case. However, since Lefty112 seemed hell-bent on keeping it in caps I figured I'd leave well enough alone. Now that I have a second opinion towards sentence case I will agree with you fully and remedy the situation. Primefac (talk) 04:45, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Primefac, there are also a number of dishes which are spelled differently than the WP article, also necessitating piped links.    → Michael J    04:48, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Series Overview chart?

[edit]

What happened to the Series Overview chart? It was fine at one point and then all of a sudden it changed to arrange the seasons by only the first number? A glitch? Because nobody seemed to make any changes to it according to the history. Is it something that can be fixed? Lefty112 (talk) 03:44, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I assume it has to do with the switch that @AlexTheWhovian: made in the template it uses to a module. Since this is not the only page I see it on. I don't know anything about modules to try and fix it. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 04:24, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. I know. Fixing it. Alex|The|Whovian? 04:27, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Episode/Seasons don't match the official order

[edit]

I noticed starting in Season 5 that things start getting out of order (may have happened prior to this, but this was where I noticed the start of the discrepancies).

For example: S05E06 according to the article, is "Superstar Sabotage: Heat Two", but per Food Networks own episode listing, S05E06 is "Sabotage Is Comin' to Town", which is listed as episode S06E04. It continues having inconsistencies even after this. I don't want to unilaterally make the changes, mainly because I know I don't have the time, nor the skills to properly adjust things without making a huge mess; and also, in case there was something that I was missing.

This has been discussed on and off over the years, and there's never really been a good resolution, mainly because of issues between the actual order and what order FN says they appeared. Primefac (talk) 19:38, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
