Strange date

The mas-49/56 says it entered service in 1936 in this article, but the article on the mas-49 says the mas-40, the earliest semi auto rifle of France aside from meunier and RSC was introduced in 1940 2600:6C5D:4C00:1518:6409:490B:D8B3:3B2F (talk) 13:38, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
