[edit]Wasn't there also a Carnegie Library at Millsaps College in Jackson in addition to the public Carnegie library? I think it was built around 1905. MissExplorer (talk) 16:04, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
- There was, in fact (my sources indicate it was built from $65,000 granted between 1906 and 1923). These lists are intended to be free public libraries only—academic libraries aren't generally counted in lists of Carnegie libraries, but rather listed separately. However, I do think we should list the academic libraries in a different section and clarify that these articles are for public libraries; I just haven't gotten around to mass-changing 50 articles yet. :) --McMillin24 contribstalk 20:12, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
