Provisional squads

[edit]

Are these provisional squads anything more than original research? They aren't referenced at all, and look like synthesis to me? To make it worse, the 2013 squad lists are themselves not referenced. Shudde talk 07:01, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Did you see List of 2012–13 Super Rugby transfers? It provides references for all player movement for the 2013 season. wcrosbie (talk), Melbourne, Australia 07:21, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's not what I was asking. I said "Are these provisional squads anything more than original research?" – the individual transfers themselves seem referenced. The squads are not (either the 2013, or these "provisional" ones that someone has made up). - Shudde talk 08:05, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
On thinking about it some more, it's definitely OR, because, even if we just used the 2013 squads, and then adjust for any changes as per the "transfer" list that exists here, we still can't be 100% sure that the transfer list is comprehensive. Therefore the "provisional squads" may be incorrect. This is why we need a source, and this is why OR is discouraged. - Shudde talk 08:10, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed! TheMightyPeanut (talk) 11:04, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

List subsections

[edit]

Can I request grouping the list with sections for each country then each team instead of just listing all teams alphabetically?

1 Australia

1.1 Brumbies
...
1.5 Waratahs

2 New Zealand

2.1 Blues
...
2.5 Hurricanes

3 South Africa

 3.1 Bulls
 ...
 3.6 Stormers

Those interested in the signings within one country could then more easily scroll between those teams. Ham105 (talk) 07:19, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Implemented as per WP:BRD. Ham105 (talk) 03:39, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Replaced infobox with image

[edit]

I didn't see the point in the infobox -- all it did was link to the 2013 and 2014 seasons (which is linked in the first two sentences). I replaced it with an image of Ali Williams. Thought this might be more visually appealing, and he is a really high profile transfer. If someone can think of a more appropriate image, then post it here. Anything would be an improvement on that infobox. - Shudde talk 12:01, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
