Odd presentation

[edit]

The template most used in this article, Template:FlagIOCmedalist, causes some odd results. It triplicates information about the country (flag, name and trigramme), and returns italicised text that is not justified in MoS. Any code-savvy admins able and willing to address this protected template? Kevin McE (talk) 13:13, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The flag gives little info unless you know your flags, but there are some nations for which the IOC code differs from what may be expected based on the country name displayed, in those cases displaying both could help to clarify results tables for the reader. Don't know why the text is in italics - Basement12 (T.C) 13:46, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Prose

[edit]

I've just been to the 2008 Olympics page and this article is badly in need of prose. Can any more educated people help? I'm working on making sure the names are correct at the moment. Therequiembellishere (talk) 11:03, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
