Rewrote the plot summary
[edit]The plot summary did not do the book justice, so I rewrote it. Will probably continue to edit it, but it's better than it was. Cardonnell (talk) 01:18, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Removed an uncecessary and redundant sentance from the end of the article. -- Benji
There is an error in how Stephen King got the idea for the story. Nodnarbdrac1771 (talk) 01:14, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
Dec 20 Rem the plot synopsis
[edit]Because it's exactly the same as the dust cover. See the original HERE. Anchoress 13:58, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Other works references
[edit]I cleaned up this section a bit. About the Kingdom Hospital reference: could someone fill in what it means when the nurse gives "Kingdom" as an option? I'm not familiar with the Kingdom work/miniseries. Also, I removed the spoilers from the references section - that involved taking out the parts which set the exact place of the reference, but I think that it was necessary since they were pretty huge spoilers. -Elizabennet | talk 22:13, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- That's all sortof a glorified trivia section isn't it? Is it really notable? It takes up the majority of the article... - 142.167.78.37 (talk) 04:52, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure if this is the correct way but there is an error in how Stephen King got the idea. Deac7117 (talk) 04:55, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
Didn't King write a story containing Lisey?
[edit]"Lisey the madman" - is it the same main characters, or are they different somehow? DocRocks1 12:42, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- Lisey and the madman was basically just a chapter from Lisey's story with some slight changes.--CyberGhostface 13:13, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Lisey.jpg
[edit]Image:Lisey.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Meager plot summary
[edit]I haven't read this one myself, but it's still a very thin, under-detailed summary. Anybody who's read it want to volunteer? --MwNNrules (talk) 19:21, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
No kidding. This is a crappy summary. I have never not finished a book in my life -until I tried to read this novel. It sucked big time. I had signed out the book from the library, but returned it today after only reading 3/4 of it. I had told myself that I would just "wiki" it, and find out what happened. Big mistake. Normally, you can get pretty decent summaries here on wiki. Not this time. Worst summary ever. Please, somebody embelish this a little bit. (Drunktrumpet (talk) 18:16, 15 December 2008 (UTC))

The link referring to Stephen King getting the idea after his accident is in correct. Nodnarbdrac1771 (talk) 00:15, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
Error in the way Stephen King got the idea for Lisey's Story...
[edit]The introduction is wrong about how he got the idea. There is a link on the Lisey's Story page that proves the info is incorrect. I also have a book that proves more info about how Stephen King got the idea for story.
Stephen King did not get the idea do to his accident. From On Writing, Stephen states his office is on the second floor. Being wheelchair bound, his wife set up an off down stairs.
Two years after the accident he got pneumonia and was in the hospital. He was close to death than when he was hit by the van. It was during this time his wife started to remodel his office.
Can someone please fix the error. I have books and interviews that back up my story and there is not a single time Stephen King mentioned he got the idea for Lisey's Story in 1999.
Or can someone tell me how to fix it, I'm not the best with technology and editing and so on.
Thank you! Nodnarbdrac1771 (talk) 01:23, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
