Lipița culture images
[edit]I wonder if anyone, especially Ukrainian or Russian speakers, can elucidate if some of these images are from old enough books so they can be used on Wikipedia:
- "ЛИПИЦЬКА КУЛЬТУРА", especially [1], [2], [3]
- "Липицкая культура"
Thanks --Codrin.B (talk) 17:42, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hello. I'll see to it, not now though. Are you wondering only about the images linked there or about all suggested by Google? The latter is quite a pointless task, I guess we'd need them only to find a link between books and pics. Also, I'm not sure about my full knowledge of local licensing policies for some lack of experience, is there anything you know about status of those images, that is, what age here is sufficient to comply with the policy? Thanks, --Microcell (talk) 20:54, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, the linked images seem the most likely candidates and seem to be from older books. Regarding the licenses which apply, we have to look in depth at the Commons:Copyright tags#Ukraine and Commons:Copyright tags#Russia and former Soviet Union. At the first look, we are talking authors who died by 1951, but we need to look in depth, in case by case basis. The goal here, for which I enrolled your help, is to identify the books, authors and years, and then see what and if something can be used. Thanks for the help!--Codrin.B (talk) 22:07, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
