Singers that have been caught lip-synching
Add: just about everyone who's appeared on Top of the Pops, CD:UK etc!
- Unless it has been covered by a notable source that the signer got caught it should not be added. BJTalk 07:29, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
Definitely not wrong
I disagree with people who think lipsyncing is wrong. As far as males, including myself, we watch these woman perform to watch them perform, most of the time not for singing. Some pop music is okay, (although that's just my opinion). I really don't care if someone lipsyncs (even if it's my favorite "singer"). The problem I have is when ugly women like Ashlee Simpson (which many people like for some reason) try to dance and lip sync and screw up. Other than that, no big deal whatsoever.

Why lip sync?
The article goes into great detail as far as techniques of lip synching are concerned, but there is no section explaining why some artists choose to lip sync. Wikichange 01:45, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

POV
I don't believe this page should single out Britney Spears. There are many other artists who lipsynch more so than Britney (Duff, Lohan, Lopez. etc...)
- I removed the obvious Britney Spears POV and added a POV tag for that section. BJTalk 07:29, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've removed any remaining whiff of POV, including opinions about how much people dislike lip-synching during live performance. I'm sure that's true, but it needs a source before it's added back in. IrisWings 05:58, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Ben Folds
I believe that the Ben Folds thing was first done by improv everywhere. I don't know if he has ever done it without them. In either case, the article should probably include that information (you can find a video of it on their site [www.improveverywhere.com])

No mention of drag queens et al?
I knew what lip syncing was from seeing drag queens long before I knew singers lip-synced their own songs. Lypsinka is probably the world's most famous lip sync artist. Benjiboi 00:11, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
