Not recognized by ICTV 2018
[edit]This virus is not listed in the 2018 ICTV master list of virus species at [1], which means that we cannot be sure if it is distinct and where it is placed taxonomically. Linepithema humile virus 2 is recognized, and placed in Picornavirales – Polycipiviridae – genus Sopolycivirus. Peter coxhead (talk) 10:29, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
- I can't find much on this virus. Looks like it was described in 2015, but ICTV has not assigned it to a species. I think it clearly is a valid isolate/strain, but incertae sedis below the family, and maybe even that's with a ?. --Nessie (talk) 20:25, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
DWV?
[edit]@Bsnow2014: Is DWV Deformed wing virus? DWV is not defined in the article. Please define DWV and link to a relevant article? Thank you 2606:6000:CB87:F400:B482:DEEA:F065:BC19 (talk) 10:42, 25 April 2019 (UTC)
- @2606:6000:CB87:F400:B482:DEEA:F065:BC19: the cited source says:
So I think you're correct. --Nessie (talk) 15:38, 25 April 2019 (UTC)We also show that Argentine ants are a common host for Deformed wing virus (DWV): a widespread bee pathogen associated with honeybee mortality.
